Good bet. As much as I hate the way this season came to a close, our young, elite secondary is not something you can just throw together through free agency. With a few more pieces we could be a legit contender with a punishing defense in the very near future. The same can be said on offense- it's not like we don't have the talent in our skill guys. Protecting them long enough to run a play is a completely different matter though.

What do I want to see more than anything next year? A relatively healthy season so we can truly gauge Wilson, Grant, Drake, Gore, Howard, etc. Give me that and I don't care what the record ends up being, because at least we can make informed decisions.

More injuries and that needs to be a big factor in the evaluation.

That's what cracks me up about all the criticism about Gase. Even offensively, a lot of similarity with the Eagles who won a super bowl and have a chance at a repeat. The only difference is personnel. The eagles built their team how we should. Defensive line and offensive line first and foremost. Don't worry about any other position until those two units are dominant
