I see no reason for the Pelicans to trade AD till next season. They got until jan 2020 to get the best possible deal available. So just sit back and watch Rich Paul spread rumors till then.

    Yup.

AD is under contract for this year AND next year. Even if he says he wants to go to the Lakers, we can still trade him anywhere. Look at what happened with Kawhi and Paul George. Everyone thought they wanted to go to the Lakers and they were traded to two very not LA markets.

Damn, Pels likely wont be getting Lonzo Ball in an AD deal: https://t.co/BvchLF3UZf

Hed prefer to be a Bull or Knick if hes dealt. Bulls can have him. Cant deal with his big mouthed father. Dudes a clown.

Don’t want him. He has no leverage anyway. If they trade him to NOLA he’s gotta show up or not get paid. He’s still on his rookie contract. He’s got no weight to throw around.

He will get his groove back but i dont think its realistic to expect the same guy from last year.

Anyways, stay strong Pelicans organization... dont give in to the Lakers unless you rob them off all their young pieces and picks.

New York has agreed with Dallas on trade that includes Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr., for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr. and DeAndre Jordan, league sources tell ESPN. Players and agents are being notified of particulars. Deal may include more draft assets.

    Insane!

The unicorn and Doncic, that's potentially a very good way to start something.

    Meanwhile, the Knicks...

I've occasionally pondered the idea that if an owner is consistently bad over a decent period it should be possible for the league to require that they sell the franchise. It's situations like these that lead me there.

I don't have tons of love for Knicks fans though. They heavily booed the Porzingis pick. Seems like such a caustic fan base.

Why would Kristaps wanna leave NYC? Why would the Knicks accept such a crap deal?

Just in case these aren't rhetorical....

1 - Because it's the Knicks. Arguably the 2nd worst franchise in the NBA (after Phoenix).

(He'd actually like to have a career where he doesn't grow into an old man waiting for what will never arrive.)

    2 - See 1.

2 of the main posters in this thread just had their favorite/best players force a trade. All we need now is the report on Harden wanting out.

Doncic and KP will be the new Nash and Dirk. Ill be rooting for them....

Please, if an owner is as pathetically bad as Dolan, they shouldnt be forced to sell, they should be shot. And have to refund paying fans.
    Cause Knicks. :(
So the guy who couldnt wait to give TH Jr 72m is who im supposed to trust to get KD here? Mills is a roach...hes been around for 20 years and we cant get rid of this tool. Hes worse then Isiah...isiah traded half the world trying to find a star. This guy takes the first offer he gets in return for one. Seriously, Mills sucks.

I understand that's the popular media take. But i don't think they make this move w/o shopping Porz around more unless they have some serious intel on Durant who has ties or Kyrie who has always wanted to play there.

The more I let this sink in, the more I understand that something has led them to believe it's happening.

If they get Zion they will walk through the weak East in year 1. If they get KD/Kyrie they will walk through the East day 1.

It's part of a bigger plan and as much as I love Porz, him being injury prone was a huge concern.

He will be the face of a team with the first or second worst record in the league.....then? He will be lucky to be on the roster.

Paul better get his s##t to together real fast. Please believe Morey will find a way to move him as soon as Harden gives the green light.

I know Harden has to be looking at Chris like, "Are you going to help?".

Nah that trade allows them to trade Frank if they want (They shouldnt!) And clease the roster of Phil (which again, they shouldnt do). Mills needs to be fired before he messes this up

If the Knicks win the lottery, here's the plan:

Trade with Pelicans: AD for Zion, Dennis Smith, Mavs 2021 pick, Knox.
Then sign KD and Kyrie for a serious big 3.

This way, Pelicans get Zion and both the Celtics and Lakers get jack squat. Win, win, win!

Wow that’s cringeworthy. I’m sure Dennis Smith at 14 years old was a regular Ron Jeremy.

And it’s got 7000 likes. And those people can probably vote now lol. We’re doomed.

Or the knicks with their 2 max slots keep Zion and Knox with Kyrie or Kemba and KD. And then Trade DSJ and the 2 1sts we got from dallas for AD

Im a heat fan and there is no logical trade for him.. theres not even a point in discussing it... we dont even have a single all star caliber player on the team.. which is a first since Blount and Ricky Davis were here..

We have to stop giving out bad contracts and look forward to a cleanslate in 2021..

AD better make sure he plays his cards right... in the end he will always be a phenom and will continue to make millions... but see Kawhi and what happened to him... if Kawhi leaves Toronto after this season he gave up nearly 80 million in money after being traded fron san antonio and then bolting toronto.
