Sorry for the text. Comp is wiggin'

DE/Pass rusher is such a huge need for the team. It was such a weakness last season. We generated nothing in that department. I firmly believe that we would have had at least a couple more wins last season if we had any semblance of a pass rush. We were terrible. Especially, in the modern, heavy passing oriented league, having a solid pass rush is key. We had pretty much nothing.
I would love it if they sign Flowers.

This would be another good move. This guy was very productive in a great conference. He's built like a beast and his measurables are off the charts. I don't want to draft a QB this year with our first pick, so this dude may be a good choice and he may be there when we pick. I want to see what you all think.

I'd LOVE to see a quality pass rush established this year. I'm not familiar with the best options this year, so can't speak to who I'd prefer, but if we spend this year building both lines you a much better standard, and nothing more, I'd be happy.

I think Sweat will be long gone by the time we pick but I'm all in on signing Flowers under the right deal.

Why would we bring in flowers if were I. Rebuild mode? I’m telling you we may not be an instant success but we’re going to a 500 team at least next year

Flores isn’t going for the three year process

I am pretty sure Flowers is looking for his payday. However, it would be nice if he gave Miami the ole Dolphin discount. I mean it’s Miami isn’t it? He needs to think about the clubs and the beaches. A state where at least 50% of his paychecks won’t have the state tax assessed. Last but not least is he can start his off-season vacation early. No more of those long, dragged out seasons where you have a chance to play in to January. That’s all stressful and ****, and having responsibilities where you play meaningful games can be so overrated. ;-)

Because even if we are in "rebuild" mode, that doesn't mean you are going to build a team with all reasonably priced rookies. You can't. You have to have some veteran presence there. Even NE does it that way.

Understood but I don’t think they are going complete rebuild. I also understand they are getting some leadership role players to set the tone

If you think Miami is going at least .500 next season you're in for a rude awakening.

We will see we have talent. The NFL is competitive, and we have better coaches IMHO if we have a health team no reason we couldn’t

Agreed on needing push rush help, but I don't agree on signing a high-priced free agent to do so. Spending too much money is not the way. Build through the draft.

Pass on flowers, he is not worth the money. We can get some pretty good edge rushers in this next draft. Preferably in the 2- 4th rounds where there is more value. Our pass rush problems last year had a lot more to do with scheme than personnel. We hardly ever used the blitz and just relied on the four down lineman. We were very predictable and gameplannable in our rush schemes. A more varied pass rush attack is necessary which is what Flores incorporated into his defense in NE, so I am hopeful we will fix the defensive scheme going forward.
