Nets might have saved their playoff chances last night with an absolutely epic comeback. Only the 4th team since 1955 to come back from a 4th quarter deficit of 25. Dlo cemented his status as a legitimate star in this league with 27 in the 4th. Him RHJ and Dudley were the stars. It was funny, I was watching the game on the Sacramento feed and their announcers were gushing over DLOs game and laughing at the Lakers for letting him get away. And the next game is the Lakers. This is a game I fully expect Dlo to go off on. Payback's a ***** LA

You’re nuts if you think players aren’t better today.

Pop is the greatest coach in the history of the NBA.

There were 9 teams in the league when Red Auerbach won his titles. Totally different league back then. You had to win one playoff series to get to the finals.

Athletically the players today are better. They are also less intelligent, unable to run things like a triangle offense that shouldnt be rocket science if players are taught basic fundamentals. Instead the league has regressed in to most teams relying on a PG to drive and kick or play something similar to the frenzied style and concepts D'Antoni popularized. You talk about the league being different back then because of the fact teams only had to beat 1 team in the playoffs to make the finals but that works both ways. Teams were also deeper before roster expansion so the quality of the opponent was greater.

. Sorry, evolution doesnt work that fast. you only think that because of how athletes are treated today. Today, they have parents that encourage them to play sports, they have trainers, nutrionists, strength and conditioning coaches, agents, pr guys all by the time they're 10. Back then your parents told you to get a real job, you ate hamburgers and fries, half of them smoked cigarettes and they played in converse and keds.

if you had a time machine and raised those players today, they would be even better than they were back then. conversely, if instead you took today's players and raised them back then all the 10% fat guys would become 20% fat and they would probably break their ankles playing in Keds

I don't care HOW athletes are faster/stronger/more skilled these days. They just are. You seem to agree with me, but then make excuses. If you had a time machine and put Julius Randle back to 1957, he'd be the most dominant force to ever play the game.

There's no excuses you just fail to grasp relativity. you're born with athleticism. That hasnt changed. People arent born with better athleticism today. The only difference between today and fifty years ago is the training. Any athlete from fifty years ago would be better today because he would have gone through the training regimen athletes go through today. Any athlete born today if they lived back then wouldnt have trained their entire lives. They would just play with their natural born abilities. Maybe they would be the same maybe they would be worse.

Julius Randle would have had his *** handed to him anytime he faced George Mikan

Ja’s ability to draw a double/triple team and then throw an ACCURATE pass, so the shooter just catches and shoots is phenomenal. He would dominate Oscar Robertson. :001_rolleyes:

Fitting that Dallas traded for him, huh!? She invited him into her apartment at 2 am to bake cookies and watch Netflix, of course.

Eric reid just said during the game the knicks have 1 playoff series win in the last 18 seasons and 5 straight 50+ loss seasons. Holy ****, I didn’t realize it was that bad for y’all.

Apparently NYK disclosed this to Dallas.

And yup its been that bad. Hence the Duck Folan shirts that have been around MSG for a decade now. Charles Dolan oversaw the Ewing years (which look pretty damn glorious even though they ended in heartbreak); James Dolan oversaw everything since the Ewing trade. Never trade a legend...its bad karma apparently.

I meant fitting that Dallas traded for him because of all of the harassment that happened in Dallas’ front office.

You’re from NYC right? Well, at least you have the Yankees.

I think we were sold out last night. You're a knicks fan. How does it feel to be in an arena talking about how "next" season you might be relevant, every year for thirty years.

Actually have to apologize. Boik roots for the Islanders. Even a blind squirrel......

Some of the best are in brooklyn, queens and the bronx but in Manhattan .....

    Eileen's special cheesecake - downtown
Two Little Red Hens - upper East side
    Ferraras - little italy

As for pizza, I couldn't even tell you. The trend now is the high end personal pizzas with expensive ingredients like truffle oil drizzled over ten year aged Romano aged in a thousand year old monastery in Naples who only produce the cheese on a leap year

The regular pizza shops are no longer run by Italians and the pizza has suffered. When I was young every other pizza place had great pizza. Now i have to travel an hour to find some

Yeah i gotta agree. Brooklyn seems like the only place you can still find old school pizza made by italians. Theres a great pizzaria near bensonhurst. I think it's called J & B. 62nd and either 15th or 18th. Somewhere around there

Coming from a franchise that hasnt ever won an NBA championship? Coming fr9m a franchise that moved from Teaneck NJ to Long Island, back to NJ, to Brooklyn and is basically homeless? No one wants your crappy franchise. We sell out even when our team sucks...which is most of the time. Yall cant get 8000 in when youre bad.

The same thing is happening here in Austin. All these weird *** pizza and burger places serving 20 dollar burgers. An egg on my burger is about as weird as I want to get.

There was a bomb little pizza place in manhattan I wanted to take her to but apparently the health dept just shut them down.

Btw is weed legal there let?

the last time you won a championship, mood rings still hadn't been invented. The last time we won a championship it was to celebrate our country's bicentennial 1976. Because that's how patriotic we are. Celebrating the red white and blue by playing with a red white and blue ball. Your team shares its home with smelly Rangers fans. My team shared our home with the great Islanders fans.
And I know one thing. Our attendance will be better in April than yours
