Agree. I don't go higher than that. That pick might have likely been spent on a QB anyways. Rosen will still have a 5th-year option available if he balls out.

Give us Rosen and a 3rd rounder (nothing less). Then, I would be fine with giving up our 2nd rounder.

    Round 1 - starting DT
    Round 2 - starting QB
    Round 3 - starting RT
    Round 3 - starting LG
    Round 4 - starting RG
Try to trade back up into Round 4 for a starting Center

I would use rounds 3 & 4 to snatch up all 3 Wisconsin linemen...
    David Edwards at Right Tackle
    Michael Dieter at Left Guard
    Beau Benzschawel at Right Guard

If you can get back into the 4th round or if by some miracle he falls to us in the 5th, take Alabama center, Ross Pierschbacher.

Leave out of this draft with 6 starters.

Just keep one thing in mind, a pro bowl nomination is more of a popularity contest.

I would rather stay the course and build the rest of the team and go for a qb next year. We already have Fitzpatrick to mind the store for a year or two. Unless you really think Rosen can be the guy, why do it?

I feel a 2nd for Rosen isn't too bad IF it is coupled with a 4th or 5th from the Cardinals.

In this draft an extra pick at 4th or 5th could mean getting another good player. That way we really limit any potential draft player loss to a marginally less well though of player and improve our QB situation. This kind of trade is always a good opportunity.

At this point playing favorites is useless. Take anyone you can get who will improve the team. Considering there is a new coaching staff in town, what constitutes a good team right now is entirely their opinion. Until we see how the product performs on the field we are not in a position to know what we have. We only know what we had and that doesn't transfer under these circumstances.

You’ll be getting a starter in Rosen by sending away the second. What’s the issue?

I’m not sold on the guy... but if they think he’s better than the guys on the board at QB why not try. Potential is there. He’s got what, two years left on his deal? Cheap. You e got Fitz here to show him the ropes the right way. The guy had zero support in Arizona. I don’t have a problem with trying. I’d prefer sending a 3 and something else rather than a 2. Unless we’re sending a 2 and getting something else in return

You would not get an extra year. 1st rounders are inked for 5 years. Second rounders 4 years. Right?

Yeah but no 5th year option on a second rounders. Regardless, we should have taken Haskins

Now if they have to give up their second round pick, it's #62 not #48. And, we get two picks back in the process? Love it.

All I can say is where there’s smoke there’s fire when it comes to Rosen’s personality. Otherwise, the market for him would be a lot larger. To suggest that people don’t have a right to be concerned is incredulous to me. I hope the Dolphins have had a chance to talk with Rosen and learn more about him and what they’re getting into before we make the trade. I am intrigued, but I don’t want to force it either if the guy isn’t a good fit personality wise.

Maybe being traded before his second season as a pro is a wake-up call for him?

    Change of scenery?

That's always been the rub on Rosen,, that he was aloof and not highly respected by his team mates. Pretty hard for a person like that to develop chemistry with his receivers.

Did you catch Steve Smith’s blistering rebuke of Rosen on the NFL channel? Let’s just say that Smith isn’t a fan of guys who are entitled and have their jobs given to them. Smith said that it’s Rosen’s fault that he is in the position he is in and that he didn’t do enough to fight for his job.

I’m waffling on Rosen. One minute I would be ok if we traded for him, the next I hope we don’t. It kind of reminds me of how I felt about Tannehill. Not sure I am ready for this kind of polarization from the get go. We should probably pass. For my sanity, if nothing else. ;-)
I want us all to be excited about our next franchise QB.

Too bad. He made some good points and maybe inadvertently gave a reason why Rosen’s teammates don’t or won’t respect him.

He didn't make any good points. It takes almost no time to do what Josh Rosen did. It is like he doesn't understand what a computer is.

It wasn’t really about Rosen unfollowing the Cards but, it’s a mute point now. Rosen is a Dolphin.

Kind of like voting for a president.

You commit to what you feel is the best or water down your sanity trying to get a universal choice.

As much as I loved Steve Smith as a player, he wouldn’t know anything about being a QB. And it’s not like Smith was the ultimate teammate having broken the nose of a fellow wideout in a film session. A film session!?!

Loved him as a player. I think while he ripped Rosen a bit, there was a little “buck up young buck” feel to it. He was certainly passionate, and I think he sees Rosen as being a solid player; hence the rant.

Ultimately, Smith doesn’t have a leg to stand on regarding being a model teammate. He wasn’t, so he can’t talk....

When i think on it, Gase should have probably dealt Tannehill as soon as he got hired. Just like The Cardinals just did to rosen. That was a waste of time, Tannehill on his third offensive coordinator was a major flag IMO. It is constant philosophy changes. You got to let go and raise your own. Kliff wanted to do that with the Cardinals.

Rosen is still fresh, he is still a first round prospect with a lot of upside. I saw Mark Brunell in him in UCLA. We will see what hes got but it literally is low risk. As a first round talent hes worth the picks we gave up.
