You dont spend second round picks on tryouts imo. If Grier wants Tua, ****ing get Tua and build the team this year, not get another teams trash. Cards had 0 leverage. None. Yet they pulled a second. Meh.
GRIER LIVE - https://www.pscp.tv/MiamiDolphins/1mrxmvdgoDNKy Grier comments and media in separate Rosen thread.
That is crazy! Wtf leverage did they think the cardinals had... none... negotiating 101, you flunked Grier.
We don't have ANYTHING like the team the Rams had around Goff imo. We are not good. And there is 0 evidence to suggest our new staff are QB whisperers in any manner that McVay is.
Yeah I am done... proof is in that this regime is even more clueless than prior ones.... see you when this failure is proven in a couple years and we start over again... nice seeing some of you fellas again.
Rosen has plenty of reasons to want to prove himself. Kicked to the curb after one year by the Cards, in a division with the other young QBs in his draft class. I'd make it Fitz's job to lose to start the season, but at some point injury or poor play will give Rosen a chance to play. Even if he flops, Miami was planning to grab a QB in 2020, so it was worth the risk. Easy to move on from a late second round pick QB. If he proves to be a good starter? Incredible value for Miami. He may even be an okay #2 QB for cheap for a few years, so not a completely wasted pick.
So we give up "2" picks for this poor attitude qb? Look, you can have all the talent in the world but if your teammates can't stand you how much success will come your way? Especially in the most team-oriented sport? Plus once again we bidded against ourselves. grier got punked.
I like Yodny Cajuste for our third round pick. Surprised he lasted this long. I have him rated as the 5th best tackle prospect in this draft. I think we can pencil him in at RT and have potential all pro. Worst case you move him to left guard and he could be a solid starter for years there as well.
Rosen got a heavy dose of humble pie over the last year. I doubt he comes in with much of an attitude. A humbled Rosen, eager to prove himself sounds like a good thing to me. We'll see. Worst case, the Phins lost the chance to improve the team and added an extra loss to the 2019 record, right? So, that much closer to one of the top QBs in 2020.
