Wow really interested in seeing what that butler deal looks like. I’m guessing Whiteside going to philly?

Great idea for the 76ers to go get Horford since he’s the one big who gave them fits. Plus he can play the 4 or 5 so if embiid gets hurt he slides in as a 5

Jesus. Somehow even the Heat are making moves that will make them a playoff team....and we just signed Taj Gibson.

    Shoot me.

They are going to be tall as hell.
    6'10" PG Simmons
    6'9" SF Tobias
    6'10" PF Horford
    7'0" C Embiid

Dallas is going to be an interesting team to watch. West is just SOO much better than the East, especially once Kawhi is on one of the LA rosters.

You can hop on the bandwagon. Pels should be a super-high tempo fun team to watch.

im interested to see what Riley does with Whiteside’s 27 million expiring... does he just let it expire, or does he hold onto him, wait till the trade deadline and try to attach him and another bad contract to a team that needs a big on the short term?

    :(

Sad to see Dragic and Richardson go. But it’s exciting to start to see changes after the last 3 years of waiting for something to magically happen with the same squad over and over.

You’re going to LOVE Julius Randle...on offense. He’s like James Harden on steroids (minus the jump shot, though he is pretty good from 3): he’s a crafty lefty who can score at will and draw fouls like crazy. He is also a ball-stopper on offense and plays HORRIBLE defense.

Hopefully, Kawhi goes to the Clippers and D-Lo goes to Minnesota (or the Heat snag one of them). Would be DELICIOUS if the Lakers moved heaven and earth to open up cap space and missed out on all the big fish...and then waited too long to snag the smaller fish worth anything. And then AD will look at Lebron and they can suck each other.

Lakers still have that chance to separate themselves from the rest of the league with either deangelo or kawhi committing to them... i think theyre taking too many risks tho waiting on Kawhi...

no one knows what in the world goes on inside Kawhi’s head... he is so random he could sign with the Spurs tomorrow and id be like, that makes sense because its Kawhi, the strangest player in the league...

As for the Heat, i think theyve told Butler this is a long term commitment.... unless someone wants to trade us a formidable player for Whitesides expiring (bradley beal ?), i think theyre done with the moves. They also have Ryan Andersons 21 million expiring..

Both Ryan and Whiteside will be buyout candidates IF Riley does not have a trade partner for their services.

Thats 48 million in expirings left, derrick jones is also an expiring at 1.6. Next year between Olynyk, waiters and JJ, thats another 41 million in expirings and the Heat are back at a clean slate with just Bam, Herro and Butler committed long term.

Pels picked up JJ Reddick and Derrick Favors IN THE SAME DAY!!!

The biggest free agent signing in franchise history was previously Peja Stoyokovic. Think about that. This team’s legitimacy has skyrocketed. Finally. I’m happy.

I'd be shocked if the Heat were done. Supposedly, they had other deals in the works if they landed Butler. With some of these deals being handed out, all of a sudden some of their contracts don't look so bad. Once the dust settles in the next day or two, teams could come calling for Goran, Hassan, Dion, and maybe even JJ. They're reportedly trying to get Bradley Beal, but I'm not going to get my hopes up on that one.

Chris “Sauces” Broussard is reporting Kawhi to Lakers. He’s a dope, so that’s good news....but I’m scared it might be true.

Interestingly enough, the Herro pick makes a lot more sense with Butler here, and KZ will have more of an opportunity with DJJ gone.

It's interesting that as good as Woj is, he seems to have zero pulse on the Heat. He didn't have them among Jimmy's original favorites last year, only to find out he was their top pick. He didn't have them as a legitimate suitor for him this offseason a couple of weeks ago. Then, today he reported the incorrect return from them to get Jimmy.

He's a good player, but it's not a great fit. It doesn't make them a contender in 2019-2020, and causes a logjam moving forward.

Klay is out for the year. Russell fits perfectly for this year, then watch them flip him for a wing when Draymond leaves the next year....smh

What was the compensation GSW gave up???

He’s a fantastic fit in GSW, even when Klay comes back. Start and give heavy minutes to all three guys. Klay can play small forward. Or play three guards. I hate these guys.

Right. And DLo doesn't replace Klay and make them a legit contender. You downgrade defensively significantly, and you also downgrade offensively with what Klay did for that team. They also just traded away a really important role player in Iggy to make that happen.

Curry, Russell, and Draymond is a top 4 seed.
Curry, Draymond, and old man Iggy don't sniff the playoffs.
The goal is to get to the playoffs. You never know what happens once you get there.

It MIGHT be a top 4 seed. I'm not sold on that, and they won't even make the WCF. It feels like a desperate move to me that won't work out for them in the end. A team like that has to look bigger picture. If, as a Rockets fan, you're scared of that team, then you never had much hope.

Good for GSW. Klay can play the 3. D Lo needs to get better on D but they couldnt score at all when KD went out vs Toronto if it wasnt Steph or Klay. This will help long term with that. Curious to see the full trade...

You guys need to make room for about $1.7 mil. Just trade 2 of your scrubs and a future pick to someone. Everyone is helping the warriors...you should be able to find some help.

    Bobby Portis to the Knicks.

I think that is a GREAT pickup. $15 mil per year for him is going to be a steal. Watch him outperform that contract.
