Portis defensive metrics are crap. Robinsons are some of the best...not just in todays game....ever...for a player his age. I like fiz as a culture/defensive guru type. I am not sold on him as a HC
Eh id assume with or without Wall the Wizards are going to be drafting top 5 next year.. id be surprised they win 25 games... that roster looks THAT bad... pretty sure Beal wants out asap... but his relationship with wall has not been great, so i doubt theyre a packaga deal.
I would almost feel bad for wiz fans if they lose their once franchise player and their only hope of rebuilding in their top draft choice.
Jimmy Butler trade is complete according to Zach Lowe and Woj. Blazers and Clippers involved in the trade.
John Wall has the worst contract in the nba... kevin love has the second worst... dan gilbert would have to offer an unprotected first and that kid with the bowtie as good luck charm for me to take in Kevin Love here..
His contract is fine with me, expires next in 2021.. though not sure who the Spurs value on our team... theyll definitely want Goran, hes a manu type... and theyll ask for Winslow and Bam lol Bam is untouchable tho.
by signing and trading DLo to the Warriors the Nets picked up Golden State's 1st rounder in 2024...better than just releasing him. Sean Marks is God
It's not the second worst, but you're right, it's bad. I didn't realize there were that many years left on it. Aldridge makes some sense, and I bet the Heat would also ask about DeRozan.
I dont use Reddit. Apparently this guy is a known insider on there. You see the amount of likes he just got. Im just interested to see if he and all his followers are right.
Lord only knows what to believe at this point. I don’t think it’s a coincidence the Heat were linked to Brad Beal before anything solid came out on Butler tho. The Butler thing was so fated I’m pretty sure they drafted Tyler Herro specifically to complement him. Already there’s a rumor Beal wants to play specifically with Butler in Miami. We always heard the Heat were thinking that Butler by himself won’t win a championship but that a big part of the Butler trade would be how Butler could recruit someone else.
He’s got a 33% chance of being right. He got a lot of likes because Lakers fans are morons, ready to believe anything.
I give a slight edge to Butler on defense alone....I think Beal is an ideal 2-3 guy on a very good team, the fact Butler was that in Phi and they really didn't progress kind of makes me lean Beal. So???? I dunno, kind of a wash to me.
Tyler Herro having some pretty hot moments in this SL game. Heat have a set of good players. A lot of them having moments. Duncan Robinson looks good at everything except running the offense as the ball handler.
Beal is the better offensive player I think, particularly as a shooter but butler more of a complete player. Butler has shown he can really carry a team and set the example. The downside to Butler is his approach to demand accountability has irked some teammates over the years and he’s also irked management at different stops. Still I’d take him over Beal right now until Beal becomes either a better defender or so clearly better offensively that Butlers edge on defense is less significant
Rumor has it the Warriors are flipping Russell. Just thinking out loud, Gallinari and Lou Williams and a pick or 2 works. Would that sway Kawhi?
Herro is sniping tonight. He definitely needs to get stronger, he put a deeeeep 3 up and didn’t really have the upper body to get it the distance. He’ll be jacked in a year.
I don’t know, Kawhi always been a different dude. I hope I’m right. It’s a better basketball decision to go to LAL, but I’d respect him more if the rumors about the clippers are true
What a tantalizing performance by the Heat youngsters on SL roster. Chris Silva and Jeremiah Martin already look like sure keepers. They were that good. Nick Mayo, Kyle Alexander, Ibrahima Faye, Nick Weiler-Babb, Charles Cooke...all had their moments. They contributed to a thrashing. But they were also uneven, each of them. The stars of this SL game were Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Jeremiah Martin, and Chris Silva.
It's hard for me to take too much from the Summer League, but I like to look at some of the little things that may surprise you. Duncan Robinson has worked on his game, and you love to see that. He was almost exclusively a spot up shooter last year, and showed he has been working on putting the ball on the deck. I don't know if that will ever translate to him doing that often in the NBA, but it's nice to see he's working. I think he's showing that he is an NBA player. With Herro, it's nice to see him getting a chance to run the point. I think he was trying to do a little too much, but his handles weren't bad, and he showed the ability to find the open man, especially early. He's just not there yet as a shot creator at the midrange and close levels, but he can shoot, and he hit most of his threes off the dribble. I'm interested to see more from Nick Mayo and Chris Sylva.
Personally, I think Butler is the better player right now, but Beal has room to get better, and would be the player I'd rather have moving forward. It'd be really nice to have both, but I'm not holding my breath on Beal. At least not anytime soon. That being said, he's been tweeting out some cryptic ****.
