Who the F is this Chris Clemons guy, LMAO!

He's averaging over 16 three point attempts per 36 minutes in Summer League...and he's made over half of them!

    Mr. Buckets

#3 all time leading scorer in college with over 3200 points. Averaged 30 ppg last year in college. Morey finds another undrafted gem.

He looks like a running back.

Basically a Nate Robinson/Kyle Lowry type.

He has been really impressive. He is scoring so effortlessly.

Barry has an article talking about how the Heat are a little nonplussed as to who to give their two-way contracts to this year, with Chris Silva, Kyle Alexander, and perhaps Nick Mayo leading the way on their own roster, but with guys from other rosters perhaps more likely.

Personally I don't care, because the Heat already have four guys in this Summer League playing NBA-level basketball. Kendrick Nunn is playing starter-quality basketball right now, and Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Yante Maten are all making the case for lots of rotation minutes.

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself on Nunn but the simple fact is, he's played over 180 minutes out there, as a guard, put together a 30 PER, with a +25.6 Net Rating, a 20.1 Game Score per 36 minutes, shooting 95% from the free throw line, 39% from three, scoring 26 points per 36 minutes, averaging 6+ assists per 36 minutes, making some damn fine plays on defense, and showing up BIGGEST in the clutch moments of the games.

He's playing the best basketball he's ever played in his life. The Heat unceremoniously dumped Rodney McGruder days before the end of the season last year, and quickly outbid other teams for Kendrick Nunn's services. They knew.

When you see a physically gifted player growing explosively in leaps and bounds like this, you hop on it.

Could be that Miami tries to see what unsigned players they can get hold of. I remember Fred Vanvleet being a guy I targeted a while ago to try and get out of SL but he got a contract commitment. Lonnie Walker has been killing it for the Spurs. As I said about Chris Clemons, he's showing some stuff that's pretty rare. Tony Bradley has been absurd as a big. Bruce Brown has been a star in Summer League. Obviously Tacko Fall is showing he can play, and you wonder if you could put him on roster as a specialist to break out as needed.

Yeah, he's only on the team because of his dad. He averaged 6 and 4 in his last year at Georgetown (and didn't average more than 2pts per game in any other year). The funny thing is, he's actually done some good things. He has no shot at making it in the NBA, though.

I thought the Heat couldn't sign anyone unless they dumped Nunn, Robinson, or Maten? Maybe a 2-way is different?

I really liked Duncan Robinson when he was a Wolverine. He has a high basketball IQ & a wicked jumpshot. In my opinion, he and Jordan Poole (GSW) were the two best players on that Michigan squad.

Yeah thats Nate Rob territory. Nate still has the best vertical ive seen considering he was like 5'9" but had a 48 inch vertical. Clemons is impressive though.

Marcus Morris is officially a Knick...1yr/15m. Reggie Bullock likely getting a 4.7m MLE. Not awful. Somemof these guys should fetch a pick or 2 at the deadline but at the very least wont cap clog us for multiple years.

Presti is an idiot and I’m not even being salty. Sheds Westbrook’s contract and picks up CP3’s? Lmao

Yea, I'm not a fan of the Westbrook who would try to do it all....that's not winning basketball. Best thing he can do its come in and play solid TEAM basketball and he certainly is an upgrade to 2019 Chris Paul at the position so if I were the Rockets I wouldn't be super upset, especially since dumping CP's contract was part of it.

    Wow.

    F'n Wow!!!!

Harden got tired of doing everything himself. You could tell in that last postgame that he was just fed up. He didn't seem sad or nothing...just fed up of doing everything by himself.

I guess I gotta stop calling him Westbrick, lmao.

Presti is anything but an idiot. He will get a 1st, probably more then 1 for CP3. Even with that contract. Watch.

He just got 2 more picks (2024+2026) and 2 pick swaps (2021+2025)

Russ with Harden will be a really interesting fit. I'm not sure how well it will work, but it should be fun to watch. I'm bummed the Heat didn't pull it off, but I'm glad they didn't overpay, and may end up better off in the end.

It will be interesting to see what Pat's next move is, but I kind of think that might be it for star chasing until maybe the trade deadline.

It wouldn't of been a good trade at all for Miami, Jimmy Butler is nothing more than solid so Westy would just be getting triple doubles on the way to 37 wins.

Sad thing is many Heat fan's would've flooded social media with more "Bro, Riley is a GOD" talk.....the ironic part is Riley was smarter to NOT make that deal than he would've been to get in cap hell and give up assets.

We still have 3 trade chips left to get us one more 3&D wing.

We can sign and trade Shumpert for up to $13 mil (bird rights).
We can sign and trade Nene for up to $3 mil (bird rights).
We still have a $3.6 trade exception to add to any trade.

That's almost $20 mil in expiring contracts we can attach to a 1st round pick to get a wing. Keep working, Morey.

You must not have been on social media over the past few days. Many Heat fans didn't want him, and most Heat fans didn't want to part with their young players. I was for it if you were giving up vets and maybe Justise. I do think it could have worked, and at the very least would have been a lot of fun to watch. I'm ok with it not happening, though.

That's how I feel about Westbrook to the Knicks....it would've been entertaining and the team would've been a low seed in the playoffs but ultimately that was the ceiling, so I'll pass.

I actually like the Knicks young core and they could gel into a well coached team that can earn that elusive 6 seed in the East all by themselves.

OKC has now collected from 2020 to 2026: 15 first-round picks and the swap rights in 4 years.

That’s a lot of bites at the apple.

Okc would have to trade our picks back to us and add another for us to absorb that horrendous contract. There is no incentive for us to take in an old over the hill cp3.

Pick swap meaning if HOU has a higher pick, then they just swap picks? That certainly won’t be the case in 2021 for HOU. 2025 Houston might suck but it’s crazy to me for a GM to trade for picks that far out when he’s not guaranteed to even be there.

Presti traded harden and kept Ibaka. That’s it.

I can't see any way this makes sense unless you're also bringing in Beal somehow, or dumping all your bad contracts, and getting assets back from OKC along with Paul. But unfortunately I could see Riley being interested.

Yeah, and he gave Ibaka 50 mil instead of giving harden an extra 20 mil. I think he’d like that one back. He also left Scott Brooks employed for far too long. No telling if harden stayed and they won a ring if KD would’ve ever left either.

Drafting KD, harden, and Westbrook deserves respect for sure but ain’t nothin came of it.

The Pelicans play the Heat tomorrow in the first round of the Summer League playoffs! Jaxson Hayes and the guy with three names we call NAW have been really dominant. Watch out!!!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to watch since I’m evacuating today! Fun! Looks like Barry is gonna miss us, but it’s the weekend, so no real excuse not to split town and be safe.

    Go Pelicans!
