    Damn that’s harsh.
I was reading that the interior OL was struggling in camp, which was to be expected.

However from a message sending POV it’s very clear, and it’s showing the players that the coaches are being held accountable too.

Well, it makes sense in that he can be easily replaced and it shows positive decisiveness by Flores. Gase waited for things to go sour badly then take action.

Dysfunction is the norm in Miami.

Exactly. How often last year did we all complain that Burke was in over his head as Def Coordinator and we wanted him replaced but Gase left him alone, yet Flores makes a positive change when something that he has seen isn't working which we (the fans) hadn't seen and the comments are that he doesn't know what he's doing - baffles me.
Will this make a difference, no clue but isn't the definition of insanity just doing the same thing over & over again whilst expecting different results.

I am cool with it and am not going to try and read anything into it. I like that coaches don't get a free pass and that they are held accountable just like the players. "Do your job" is at play here.

Not true. It would be dysfunctional to ignore it and let it ride all season long. Flores saw something he didn't like in the OL room and took action. To me, that's leadership and what a HC is supposed to do. He has goals and expectations and is willing to get rid of anyone who isn't going to help him reach those goals. Now, please tell me that our players and coaches don't respect him more now than they did.

    Fail forward fast.
It could have been a personality issue but, I like the move compared to the dysfunction on the o-line with the past two administrations.
Shows that Flores is paying attention to the o-line and is demanding results.

Except... he apparently just said Guge was his first choice but was unavailable at the time. If true that changes things.

A bad decision now is better than a good decision later...paraphrasing General George S Patton.

It does send a message, right out of the New England playbook...Do your job
