This is supposed to be the "dress rehearsal". Yes, they stink. The people who know football knew this.
Everyone knew this. Why are we complaining that the team that people think was going to be bad is bad.
I'm aware of that. I'm just stating the obvious. I think we've all known this for quite some time now. It's still painful to see though.
Wait. Did you guys just see the sideline? Ruddock has his helmet on and Rosen does not. Why wouldn't they play Rosen?
Nice throw there by Rosen. I know it's against lesser competition, but I don't see how this QB competition isn't close, and that means you go with the guy that could have a future in Miami.
Rosen will start the season. Flores can say whatever the **** he wants but Rosen is clearly the better QB.
Fitzpatrick should not start. The line wasn’t very good but he wasn’t doing anything and Rosen has more escapability.
Definitely true. If these are the starters this o-line is hideous! No QB can really succeed behind it. And that includes Brady in his prime!
Again, Rosen showing poise stepping up in the pocket trusting his line. Rolling out very well making some good throws. I think he looks comfortable and in control of the offense when he's out there.
Rosen’s arm strength and accuracy are far superior. Fitzpatrick has no juice on his throws and his accuracy is horrible.
The caveat to that is if coaching can make chicken soup out of chicken feathers with regards to the OL and DL. We ain’t seeing chicken soup tonight.
Watching the game late. Special teams look good. We used to have really good ST and it looks like an emphasis. I like that. It’s a forgotten phase sometimes but it’s key to ball position.
The defensive alignment looks a lot like NE. Not easy to identify what’s the alignment. Without a pass rush that’s not going to carry them.
I don't hold out much hope for our OL, but I had seen it before where they blew chunks in the preseason and then when the games started to count got their act together. Not saying that will be the case this season, but it would be nice. That said, I thought Rosen played pretty good. He has a live arm, and even though it was against the scrubs, he did everything he was supposed to do. The offense seemed to respond better when he was under center than it did with Fitzpatrick.
I forgot the game was on last night and from the sound of things, that's a good thing. From the comments here I don't think I'm even going to watch it....that will help me keep my sunny optimism for a few more weeks at least.
LOL! It sort of depends on if you are the, gently pull the band-aid off type or are the rip it off and get it over type.
Bah, we could go 0-10 and I'd still swear we'll win the following week by 20. Realism has nothing to do with my fan strategy! =)
I record it so I can jam through it. I still want to see what's happening. Baker has some plays and looked great. It's just all so hard to judge as not all of the starters are in on both sides of the ball.
Honestly people make too bug of a deal out of week 3 of the preseason. Its a game plan but it's absolutely NOT the same as a regular season game regardless of coach speak. I'm not saying we will light the world on fire, be great, win more than 5-6 games for sure or whatever...but by week 2 no-one here is really going to remember this game.
