That is a great attitude. We have something to prove and you can doubt us all you want. But when you prepare, you had better expect to be hit in the mouth again and again.
i love the energy crowders been bringing. he was either gonna flop or man up, and i think he's really manning up. theres a sense of, dare i say, that no-name comradery. bunch of new sailors on a new ship, in this thing together on the ground floor.
I know Braz.. and every time I read it I smile and hope hope hope. I have them all, but the home opener is the only one I watch. It was the game Ronnie crushed chump bailey into the dirt. The cramps were a beautiful thing.
yeah Marty that game was all about winning football... What a breath of fresh air is to be under Parcells and Co. The last time I felt like this was exactly that opener against Denver. Though this time we're seeing a much better youth movement which means continuity. I can't wait for sunday!!!
nice quote for sure. Crowder sure seems like he really is trying to fill Zach's role as a leader on D. I believe we've definately gone in the right direction. Im expecting a good year for us.
I've been really impressed with Crowder, ever since it was reported that he was making all the calls in training camp. He's impressed me with his confidence and him in the film room. It was reported that he's often in the film room now and works an extra 2 1/2 hours a day after practices. The confidence level of this team, overall, is really something nice to hear. Earlier this off-season, Vonnie Holliday was quoted as saying that they're playing this season and going for the Super Bowl despite it being a rebuilding or retooling season. Journalists laughed at Holliday. After Holliday's comments, Wilford was asked about the Patriots. He replied with "who?" or along those lines. Regarding the Dolphins direction, its really something. As the article says, who knew an abysmal season could turn out to be something great for a once proud franchise. We've got a veteran QB, probably the best one since we've had since 13 left. At the RB spot, we still have Ronnie Brown who was performed incredibly last season. He is coming off an ACL injury but its not a huge worry as it was when he went down. We now have Ricky Williams who is motivated and hoping to quiet his critics. At the WR spot, Derek Hagan came along a far way this off-season and has won the number two job. We have some late round selections that have been a success thus far in their young careers in Donald Thomas, Davone Bess and Carpenter. Our first round pick has looked good thus far.On defense, we have Goodman back healthy, a healthy Yeremiah Bell, whose a key part in the defense's success and we have a new defensive line that includes a rookie starter in Kendall Langford. This season, I'm looking for wins but not as much as progression. The key, for me, is progression and the development of chemistry of these young players. I think we have 5 or 6 wins this season, anything more than that is just icing on the cake for me.
If we can beat the Jets, I think we win 7 games this season. If we loose, maybe only 5. It may not be a must win for us, because we don't have much a a playoff shot, but 7 wins after a 1 win season would be a huge improvement. (DUH)
