Well that 1st half was....... Nothing Numbing football. Happy with the D other than Rowe who is giving up massive play after massive play. They can not carry on like that though as the Pats are gonna run it down their throats and tire the D out
Lots of people calling for a Rosen but is there any chance he isn't showing what he needs to between games? At least in terms of leadership, knowledge of playbook etc? He's just not proving himself the leader they want him to be?
I'm tired of watching them send a three man rush and giving Brady time to throw. That's bad coaching.
Wait a second.. didn't you say you were boycotting games until Rosen starts? (for what it's worth I agree with you .. Rosen should be out there) Not that there's anything to watch here anyway. Last week was a disaster, this week is just... BORING!!!! I'm about to tune out of this game and watch the 2nd half of the Seahawks Steelers game.
A 10pt lead would be too much for this Miami team to deal with. They must be in danger of setting more bad records this week, for least yards gained and average points scored. Pathetic, as this game is in many ways just as bad as the Ravens loss.
Why isn’t Rosen in this game again? What else is there to gain this season other than knowledge on him and the defense progression.
Just so I'm clear, some of you are telling me that Flores had this team ready to play? To compete? That the defense came ready to play? That there was a solid offensive plan in place? I get the lack of talent, but I don't see the proper coaching/game planning either. I'm starting to believe Flores is here to lead the team to the #1 pick and then will get fired as too tainted due to all the losing. Don't cry for him, he's set for life with a five year payday.
Well think that’s it for me. Really hard to watch when you can’t even gleam progression from younger players. Decent effort defensively but I really don’t know why Ryan Fitzpatrick is taking any snaps for an nfl team at this point in his career.
I do. We've overhauled the roster. Some of these guys have been here barely two weeks. We're playing one of the best organised, most disciplined, most successful teams in the league. The improvement from last week to this one is notable. In addition we have at least one key defender missing which, considering the talent drain, is even more significant. What's more, we've been a lot better in terms of penalties. You say you expecting a win but what are you expecting? Almost a win? The only thing we can hope for is gradual improvement. We're seeing it.
Gradual improvement? One can make the argument that today's performance is even worse than last week.
This has been a long first two games for the dolphins... it feels like they’ve played 8 games in 2 weeks... they’re getting physically dominated in epic proportions. There are CFL and arena league quarterbacks that would do a better job than Ryan Fitzpatrick and im not exaggerating this..
ZERO points offense after 3 quarters is NOT gradual improvement. Right now we have 40 yards passing and 21 yards rushing.. lol. There's no "improvement" here.
Na there’s no way that argument can be made. I’ve seen the defense make plays today, last week they didn’t have a single stop..
Meanwhile... Thru 3 quarters today, Lamar Jackson 19-28, 205 yds, 2 tds 11 rushes, 103 yards On his way to 2-0 Thank goodness we didn't draft that guy. What a scrub!
I’ll agree with this. Defense had a solid effort compared to last week. They have also been on the field longer today. So this weeks effort is improved. Offensively though there is nothing to even look at here other than the fact that Fitz shouldn’t be playing.
I'm not seeing this improvement you speak of. Only losing by 30 or so points is better? New England has been methodical, they're not trying to score 50+ points. They could have, if that was the plan. I see an offense getting worse game to game, a defense still incapable -despite that being the supposed expertise of the head coach. Again, the Pats have a broken OL and are doing fine. That is coaching and adjustments by the coaches. We'll see where Flores is at a month in and then in the second half of the season. I was expecting an offense that could score at least 10 pts and a defense not making the same mistakes we've seen year after year around here. This is historically bad by Miami. Never seen before in the league bad. Flores has shown nothing so far.
Why aren't they playing Rosen I don't understand, Fitzpatrick is baad. Rosen can't be much worse. Traded 2nd round pick for nothing... Grier fired.
Utter nonsense. Really. You have black tinted glasses on. I specifically stated areas of improvement. You chose to ignore them all and I assume focus on the poor offensive performance. Are you paying attention to the defensive stats for New England? That team is on a run of defensive dominance. A much better defence than Baltimore. Each game is different. Each opponent too . That difference between one gimme TD last week and none this week isn't that significant. Then consider how the the lack of offense means the defence is having to work even harder, making it more impressive. Don't bring that nonsense about no improvement.
Again, I think you have expectation problems. Historically bad? Obviously. What did you think was going to happen? I think some people here have reality check issues. Let's see if we can help by spelling this out. We. Are. Going. To. Lose. A. Lot. This. Year. You can disagree with the approach but it IS what we're doing. We gutted the roster. Ross has said this will take time.
The announcers said that the yards allowed by NE in the first 3 quarters was the lowest EVER for Belichick. Totally undercuts the idea that this is just a "better defense" than Baltimore.
