I find it difficult to believe that Armondo knows anything about this team let alone what they were going to do in the draft room. I have my reservations about the Taco. He quit on his team like Mika did.
I liked TJ Watt over Harris too. The point I was getting at is Grier seems to rely on the input from our coach's as much as any, so naturally, coaches are going to have some sort of bias as to what type of players they prefer. They're the cooks, so Grier lets them have input on the groceries.
Not quite the same - it was made pretty clear that he didn't really have a role and wasn't going to be playing much, if at all. The team more quit on him, though with the obvious acknowledgment that Taco's play didn't give them much reason not to do so.
Taco played okay today- not at real Mexican restaurant standards but definitely a notch above Taco Bell. I love these low risk/high potential reward signings since we really have nothing to lose.
That was a coverage sack. Taco's ceiling is decent run stuffer, mediocre pass rusher. But I agree at least he came relatively cheap.
In a game that Taco had the highest possible motivation to excel in, he had his first sack in about a year. Will he have that level of effort the rest of the year? Doubtful. We need some depth on the DL, so he's worth keeping around, but I'd be shocked if he amounts to more than average.
