Winning feels a lot better than rooting for some guy that's still in college. You guys rooting for a loss can kiss mine, go root for Cincy.
If there was a Manning or Luck in the draft at 2020, then you want that #1 pick. Instead we'd just get first guess at what QB might be the best of the bunch. Think the Bears are happy getting Trubisky when they could have taken Mahomes or Watson instead? For less picks given up? My point? KNOWING who to draft is MORE important than having the #1 pick 90% of the time.
The Bills don't have the second gear that most good teams (or at least offenses) have. I would be very surprised if we actually pulled out a win, but this isn't Brady or Rivers yawning through the first half. It probably will be more like the Redskins game last week.
They're learning to play like a team and, the defense is fired up. THAT will carry over to the next QB.
I think we can afford one win. We have the strength of schedule tie breaker on the rest of the bad teams.
If anyone was wondering if we're actually trying to win games of not, there's Flores giving you the answer on the fake FG
Fitztragic has entered the building. Even a FG would have been huge given we just chewed up more than half the third quarter.
Superbly unlikely. However, 5-11 would indicate that we either actuallu DO have a decent base of talent to build on, and/or that Flores really is a good coach and capable of making positive changes. Neither is a bad thing, and would still likely result in a top 8ish pick. Seriously, it's fine. Semi-unrelated ... anyone worried a bit about Tua being injury-prone?
Definite red flag. He might get tougher as he finishes developing physically and with more weight training, but it's a concern. Also, agreed that 5-11 would be an amazing bit of coaching and game planning with this roster.
Defense is starting their second half fold, but waited till the fourth quarter to do it. Progress, I guess?
Needed to call plays for two downs, this game is over with a punt. This is on coaching. You have to keep the ball, so you play for half the yds on third down and then go for it on fourth. The Bills will run the ball out on a defense that had no time to rest and no boost from seeing the offense get some points.
Mild surprise that they stopped them, but now you have to recover an onside kick which is what? Less than 10% chance with the new rules?
It concerns me that both ankles have needed surgery and he has had leg issues. When injuries are clustered like that ....
Can’t complain about being competitive for 58.5 minutes with this team. I have to give Flores credit, this team showed some fight today.
