Looks like Miami is going to be around the #5 pick in the draft. Too late for Burrow or Chance, maybe not even Tua. All this season for a LT?
Don’t worry about the draft until April. With so many variables involved until then, it’s a waste in mental energy. Enjoy the game.
All i can say is this has been a very strange season all year long for the entire NFL.. no sunday has ever made sense to me this season
Doesn't matter to Miami, unless the Giants or Washington end up with the #1 pick, then we might work out a trade. I'd like to enjoy the wins more, but they just push Miami further away from rebuilding the team successfully.
All this season to find a head coach who can actually coach players up and get a team that wasn’t even supposed to be competitive winning football games. That’s worth way more than being able to pick 4-5 spots higher
This season is the anomaly though, I need to see Parker stay healthy and produce in 2020 before locking him up with a big contract.
Yeah, if we can grab a late first or second round QB like Hurts or Love to develop, we might actually be talking playoffs in 2021.
Four thoughts on the game- 1) The Eagles dominated the 1st half in every aspect but the scoreboard. Poor Fitz was used yet again as a pinata. 2) Then Fitz absolutely, positively showed his *** in that comeback win! He was untouchable in the 2nd half! 3) Parker is a legit #1 receiver. With Gisecki and Williams next season, we could be scary potent on offense with the right QB. 4) That had to be the first no-look pass from a punter...to the kicker nonetheless...in the history of the NFL. So I dub it the best punter/kicker TD completion of all time.
Miami could be looking at 6-10 or even 7-9 with a win steak to end the season (if the Pats are resting starters to end the season). Granted, beating teams like the Jets, Giants, and Bengals won't impress anyone, but it vastly changes the draft options. Look at the record, say 6-10, and it seems like a typical Dolphin record for last 15+ years, right? Except we know the team was gutted for this season and to win 6-7 games is just crazy. Sure, it will take a big dose of Fitzmagic, but a lot of good coaching has to be part of those wins. We need a young QB to build around and I don't know if that means a trade up to grab Tua or waiting til one of our picks in the 20's to grab Hurts/Love/Herbert, but if we find a good QB everything else should fall into place.
OK! First of all, three Miami Dolphin players that I am extremely happy for are Ryan Fitzpatrick, Devante Parker, and Taco Charlton. Fitz gave us his yearly out of this world performance today. We might get another one from him before the season ends. Devante Parker was awesome! What can I say? I think the wait was worth it with him. Glad we held onto him. Taco Charlton might finish the year with double digit sacks which would be amazing considering how we got him. He might prove to end up being a steal for us. Great win today! Can't believe we beat Philly, but Philly has been awful this year, but i'll take that win anyway. Not even worried about our draft pick/status. It'll work out how it is supposed to. Ya'll want a new rookie QB? I think we'll most definitely have on come April. It just may not be the guy that some of you want.
Got a few suggestions to Eagles nation... to the team including the staff and front office... throw your tv’s out the window... to the message board admins... lock your forum for members only... yall gonna get it raw dog this week..
Now, I know we won and all, but we gotta talk about the elephant in the room. I think there's a possible QB controversy. Matt Haack finished the game with a higher QB rating than Ryan Fitzgerald. I think maybe we should put Haack under center, just to see what we have in him. Just a thought. (And no, I'm not serious)
This team will never be fixed at this rate, as much as I love this team every win stabs me in the heart.
Definitely a good game. Now that we have some games under our belt. What do you think of coach Flores and our coaching staff?
That's because you don't believe in coaches...you believe in players. This team is already being fixed. After starting the season 0-7, a team roster of nobodies has won 3 of its last 5 games and can realistically win 3 more games against the Jets, Giants and Bengals. Now keep in mind with the "talented" roster we HAD, we were only forecasted to win 6 games. I really do believe that with the most important player in place...the Head Coach...I think we're going to be just fine!
It's hard to tell with this roster since we have so little talent....we made great 2nd half adjustments yesterday though since it looked like two different teams. There's no way we should have embarrassed Philly like that with 3rd and 4th stringers!
Examining only the current situation, and by no means means predicting any types of outrageous success (though no one really knows), the Dolphins have themselves a true HC. Flores is someone who not only understands the game, but also knows how to optimize the team's talent and personnel. Good things ahead.
Viewed the coaches tape. Typical of this season, love the defensive scheme and their ability to create a pass rush, desirable match ups, mismatches, as well as the overall confusion caused by varying presnap alignments. On the other sideline, there is little that pleases me more than watching a mundane 4-3, Jim Schwartz coached defense nonetheless, get torn to pieces. SO glad to be rid of that garbage.
I am so tired of hearing this garbage. This record is literally what we all predicted before this season if Fitz started. Flores HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING. Oh except look lost on the sideline just about every game.
Actually, you will find that the media tagged us with ZERO wins, that we were a disgrace to the history of the NFL and we were putting players in danger Please stopped posting rubbish, you are as bad as the Dolphins beat writers
