Not so sure anymore. Tua saying he'd be tempted to enter the draft if he gets picked top 10-15 suggests that he's not expecting to get picked at worst top 3 which was arguably the expectation before his injury (at least in the press). So IF he comes back from injury AND we allow for the usual run on QB's it's actually more realistic now we could get Tua in the 5-10 range than it was pre-injury (even if he heals). And all that's without factoring in trading up, which might be unrealistic to the #1 spot but is realistic if it's to the #5 spot or so.

We'll see.. but that injury could be a blessing in disguise assuming he fully recovers, we don't get cute AND end with 4-5 wins.

Let's trade up and get Burrow. This guy is the best player in college football and it's not even close!

I doubt you'll find a trading partner. Cinci needs a QB, they're on track to pick 1st and if he's that highly sought after you're not dissuading Cinci from taking who they think is their franchise QB for a few extra picks. The only way (realistically) to get Burrow is to end up with the worst record. Of course we play the Giants and Cinci, and Cinci is starting Dalton so who knows.. but the way we're playing it's hard to imagine going 0-4 to end the season. So I'm thinking Burrow isn't realistic.

This is why I am not happy with winning pointless games.

Joe Burrow to Cincinnati is a mortal lock.. i dont think they would take our three first rounders in a trade up.. burrow is an ohio guy having gone to high school there, went to ohio state before transferring.. cincy isnt going to pass that up... i like his game, what i dont like is all those wobblers he throws during the game..

Honestly the most disappointing part of this draft is that Trevor Lawrence is not in it.. out of all the quarterbacks this college football season, he just looks like the complete package.. he’s got the best timing on his throws, best touch, best deep ball..

I assume this offseason the dolphins are going to be big shoppers, theyre going to want to improve overall talent immediately.. i could see us winning 8 games next year.. which keeps us away from Trevor even with our second first round pick

Yeah, the Giants need to end up with the #1 pick and then they'll see who offers the best trade package. Miami can't be outbid, but you have to have a limit too. Is a franchise QB worth THREE first rounders? I'd pay it, but what a risk.

Well, trading away a 2020 first rounder for a first rounder in 2021 (and a later 2020 first or high second) could be an option. I agree that Miami should win 7-9 games next season with an improved OL and some defensive help. Still, we'd have three first rounders in 2021 to move up and get Lawrence if the team with the #1 pick does not need a QB or are willing to take a ransom in trade.
