    New England: 12-3
    Miami: 4-11

The agony of the 2019 Dolphins' season comes to a close tomorrow when the Dolphins take on the AFC East Champion New England Patriots. While the Dolphins have had spurts of energy offensively, particularly with Ryan Fitzpatrick's 419 yard and 4 TD performance against the Bengals last week, this week he'll face off against the NFL's number 1 ranked defense. Don't expect to see a repeat this week against this stingy defense.

Offensively for new England, expect a high scoring game. Not so much because of their offense which ranks only 16th in the league, but due to Miami's horrible defense that ranks dead last overall.

Although the Dolphins lead the series all time, 55-53, the Dolphins haven't won in Foxborough since September 2008. Their last win against the Patriots at Foxborough in the month of December occurred Christmas Eve 2000, so the odds are highly stacked against Miami.

New England is playing for a first round bye, so don't expect to see Belichick rest his starters. He knows the importance of that bye.

    New England 48
    Miami 19

Maybe if the first half is bad enough we can see Rosen one more time to close the season and see if hes maybe made any progress.

Putting in your back-up and possibly future quarterback in game against the number 1 defense in the NFL playing to secure a first round bye in the playoffs probably ain’t gonna happen.

Hopefully Flores has embraced the rivalry enough to make every effort to win this game and SCREW over the Patriots’ chance for that number 2 seed.

If the first half is a blow out I'd wager you see the starters pulled. So it wouldnt be Rosen vs a fired up defense in all likelihood.

I'll go against popular opinion and say that this one ends less than a 2-score game. Why? This is literally the movie The Replacements and it's the final game for a lot of these players in the NFL. I think Flores has them playing fired up and I wouldn't be shocked to see us take an early lead in this one and hold it throughout the 1st half.

Do I think we'll win? Probably not, but I do think we cover the 16 point spread and at least keep it interesting for most of the game. So prepare yourselves for the Miracle in Miami Part II, Gillette Edition!

New England needs to get hot and fired up going into the playoffs.

This is going to be a 48-7 type game.

    Slightly left of center
This could very well be our last chance to send Marcia crying to the the bench again. He may not be back next year. I personally would give up a first round pick just for that. Sack his azz five times, 2 pick sixes, Gaskin and Perine run for 200 and Fitz plays mostly error free.

We win in a stunner 28-27.

I expect the Pats to come out and try and run it again and again. They'll need a ground game in the playoffs to keep the ball away from the better offenses. Miami shouldn't get blown away in this game. Double Edelman and stack the box, force Brady to win it by throwing to the rest of his pass catchers.

If Fitzmagic shows up, we have a shot of sneaking out a win. I'll be very disappointed to see anything less than a competitive game.

Talent will probably prevail but chalk this one up as a moral victory and a lesson to us about finishing strong even though we don't come away with the win. I think Flores did a pretty darn good job this year considering what he had to work with and laying down the foundation of TNT will hopefully carry on to next year when he SHOULD have more to work with.

This is akin to a college tune up game for them. Like Alabama VS North Cakalaki State. This will not be pretty, unless your a Pats fan.

On another note, how about that after 20 years of utter dominance by the Pats and chaos in Miami the Dolphins have Still managed to be up on them by two games in the all time series between the two. Goes to show how much we kicked their butt prior! Nice!!

This kind of result would represent a successful season for the Dolphins, where we started with a hash of new players and leftovers and finished with a flourish against a long time nemeses and one of the leagues best teams. Winning the last game of the season against them on their home field is more then we could have expected at the beginning of the season. It puts some real teeth into the saying, "see you next year".

I am really looking forward to watching the Dolphins increase their potential this off season with a huge number of draft selections and the ability to pick whoever we want along with a huge number of selections from this years upcoming free agency.

I see myself smiling as we progress through the off season.

    See you next year!

Our boys won't embarrass themselves today -- that is my mantra. They probably won't win, but it won't be due to lack of effort. There are several things we can be proud of, from this 4-11 team (never thought I'd say that, before this season).

I can't even predict a score, I just expect them to be competitive, disciplined and cohesive. Finish this thing off right boys!

Not saying it hasn’t happened, but I’ve yet the see Belichick pull starters until there was virtually no time left in a game.

I do recall one game in which Belichick pulled Brady during a blowout, the back-up tossed a pick and the next series Brady was put right back in...peddle to the metal. And that game meant nothing.

This one is for the number 2 seed and a first round bye. Those starters are playing the entire game.

What do you guys think of Albert Wilson today? Thinking of starting him in my fantasy championship.

Looking at box scores, NE has consistently eliminated the other team's top wideout. However, they've also consistently allowed decent production to slot receivers.

Assuming Parker is neutralized, those targets seem likely to go to Wilson--especially with Hurns out.

I've also been keeping an eye on Jason McCourty's health. He might play, but he's banged up. Could be the perfect storm for a big day for Wilson!

I don't think it's going to happen. Interesting numbers that I just saw...

New England Patriots with and without a bye in the post season.
With the bye, they are 27-7 in the post season. They've had 9 Super Bowel appearances and 6 Super Bowl wins.
Without the bye, they are only 3-3 and haven't made it to the Super Bowl at all.

Belichick KNOWS how important this game is. It is essentially a playoff game for them in order to advance in the playoffs as they area accustomed to.

C'mon Flores, turn up the heat!!!! After starting 0-7, the Dolphins are 4-4. Not great by any means at all but then again, not the dumpster fire they started off as. This is the ONE game we REALLY need the intensity of the rivalry to come to fruition.

There just isn't much about this Pats offense that scares me. Even with a patchwork defense. We need a couple turnovers and some big plays and we can sneak out a win today.

Great decision making by Ford. I'm impressed he resisted the urge to just chuck it. Offense is moving it well so far.

Just a bad throw by Fitz, but we got some points.

Held the Pats to a FG, which is a win. The Pats will have to run the ball to win today, the passing game is inconsistent for them.

Wilson decided not to catch today, we can move the ball if the players just catch.

You can't win by making mistakes. Pats tie it up. Offense needs to respond, we still have time for a two minute drive to get some points. The Pats will get the ball after the half and we can't let them have back to back possessions.

Bad coaching won't help. Why the run up the middle EVERY first down????

Don't even try for the first down????? Is Flores doing a solid for the Pats? Help them get the win and Miami keeps draft position? In exchange, New England will not run up the score?

Or a blown coverage for the easy TD? Terrible response by the defense after getting another lead to protect.
