Before moving to Israel, I left him with my mother and stepfather who both fell in love with him. My mother called me today, choking back the tears, to tell me that they had to put him to sleep. He was suffering from terminal lymphoma that had spread all over his stomach and liver. I'll get through this, but it won't be easy. I'm crying as I'm writing.
condolences Michael.. my Pup died 9 days ago and I am taking a break from disassembling his pen.. memories are everywhere, I know exactly how you feel brother. I've been like a lil' baby for nearly a week, moping and missing him. It has taken a while but it's getting better, keep yer chin up bro!
Sorry to hear that bro. It must be really hard with you being so far away. Hope things start to get better
brother...im sorry for your loss, i lost my pal, my favorite cat Zeus not long ago....i posted on here as well about it....i was real choked up, its tough....they arent animals or pets....they are family, i loved my cat as i am sure you did yours....i am deeply sorry for your loss bro! Chin up man, you'll make it through!
Sorry bout both of your losses. I'm a real softy and I know that losing a pet is tough. Remember all the fun times and like Gish said, another pet helps ease the pain.
Its a very hard thing to go through. Losing a pet is horrible, Ive gone through it twice, I really don't to go through it again. Sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. The grandgirls little dauchund sp? got ran over last week. The hard part was that their dad was washing the car and when he moved it both their dogs ran into the wheel and the little black one was really hurt. She lived, but they had her put to sleep. The damage was just to great and surgery wouldn't take care of all her problems. We all cried. I've never seen two little girls that sad. Plus, their dad felt like crap, of course. So, he buried her out back with the other animals in our pet cementary.
Sorry to hear about your loss brother, losing a friend is never easy. Just find comfort in the fact that he isn't suffering and that you treated him well during your time with him. Keep your chin up too Marty
Hippo Head Marty? Very sorry to hear that. You too Mike. I lost the cat i grew up with about 9 years ago. it was sad because we got her when i was a small boy, and i became a man with her in our household. same for our last dog too, but the cat was sad because i became allergic as i left my teens, so i knew id never have another cat. sad stuff, but eventually, the sadness subsides, and your left with just the happy thoughts...well and the want to walk them or pet them just one more time, but mostly fond memories.
i am sorry to hear about your loss Michael. Pets are very much like a family member and are not easily replaced.
My condolence to all that has lost a pet. My wife lost her cat about a year ago and a friend sent her this poem. > Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. > > When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that > pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. > > There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can > run and play together. > > There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm > and comfortable. > > All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and > vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, > just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. > > The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each > miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. > > They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly > stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager > body quivers. > > Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, > his legs carrying him faster and faster. > > You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally > meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. > The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the > beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, > so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. > > Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... > Author unknown...
