It will be a glorious moment watching Ryan Tannehill officially stick a fork in this Pat's dynasty next week. The irony is THICK.

Patriots are the #3 seed and Titans will be the #6. Next week will be Titans at Patriots.

Ryan Tannehill is not going to lose today. He's playing as loose as his rookie year, moving his feet, moving around in the pocket and looking as confident as ever.

    Now go beat the Patsies

I'll say this - If Tannehill goes to NE and dominates ( a place he's never won in and got outmatched / confused) then this thread will be pretty much moot.

Tennessee needs to keep it simple against New England... go through Derrick Henry... establish the running game and give themselves a chance in the 4th quarter..

It wouldnt be very smart to try to win a shootout in Foxborough

What a weekend. That Heat game was epic. The Dolphins game was even more epic. See you posting on RealGm Heat boards all the time. I was banned for defending the Heat after a year of relentless trolling that was allowed after the Big 3 was formed. Never seen so much hate in my life sports wise - I'm not sure that will ever be matched.

As much as I'd love to see TN win today and then beat the Pats, I have zero confidence in the Titan's OL or defense against NE.

NE has been exposed, at least offensively. The rumors of Brady's decline are now facts. Tannehill is a different QB than the guy that walked in to NE last year 3-0 and got thoroughly confused, clowned and shut out. that was only his third game back after a 1.5 year hiatus..

I think Ten has a legit chance to win. NE did NOT overlook Miami today. Miami was better team on both sides of the ball.

Not talking about Brady or Tannehill. NE has the better OL and Defense by a mile.

Titan's can barely handle the Texans' backups.

Got ya. I can’t remember. I do agree that the Titans will beat the Pats.

That Patriots offense looks pretty anemic. And this Titans offense is scary. They can run and throw at will.

The Patriots defense allowed the Dolphins to drive 65 yards for a TD to win with like under 4 minutes left in the game. Do you think we have a high powered offense?

Titans can definitely beat the Patriots.

We smoked the Patriots 34-10 last year with Marcus Marifloata under center.

As much as our defense is banged up I still think we can beat the Patriots easily next week.

Derrick Henry carried the ball 32 times for 211 yards. Tennessee is going to run the ball down their throat and set Tannehill up for some incredible play action passes that's going to light up the Patsies.

I do agree though that Tennessee's defense concerns me, but not so much against the dying dynasty and reign of Pharaoh Brady and the Patriots.

    Congrats Ryan. Much deserved.

that damn patriots stadium is a house of horrors for QBs in the postseason but it doesn’t matter.

he’s earned every bit of it. Too bad we were never competent enough in Miami.

ignorance is everywhere my friend. Ignorance is everywhere

that said new England’s gonna come in with a plan to not let Derrick Henry beat them and double aj brown whenever possible or maybe they just put Gilmore across from him who had his hands full with dvp today.

So.. Tannehill ends the year with a 117.5 rating, beating out Brees for the #1 passer rating in 2019 among starting QB's. Brees ends with 116.3. And while Russell Wilson still plays later on, it's close to impossible for him to overtake Tannehill even with a perfect passer rating so it looks like Tannehill wins that crown, and that's impressive no matter what surrounding cast you have. In fact, I'd argue it's too unlikely to be due to just better surrounding cast. Something has changed with the QB IMO, or at least that's the most tenable hypothesis.

Anyway, on to NE and Tannehill's first playoff game. Meanwhile.. Brady had his statistically worst year ever. This is the first year in Brady's career where he ended with a below average rating (87.98 when league average is close to 91).

We're not talking about the Ravens. And wtf do the Ravens cheating or not have to do with the Patriots long history of cheating? Start your own thread if you want about the Ravens.

I see you again refused to answer a simple question, instead deflecting and obfuscating.

Moot, doesn't mean what most think it does.

People think it means something along there lines of "it doesn't matter, its over no need to talk about it anymore."

It actually means kinda of the opposite. Like, whether the matter is settled or not and no matter that we have no control over the subject's outcome, we can talk about it, academically.

    moot:
    1. subject to debate, dispute, or uncertainty.
    2. having little or no practical relevance, typically because the subject is too uncertain to allow a decision.

In many ways, every thread and topic on every internet forum is moot.

I think it means slightly different than the definitions above. My definition would be "An outlying factor that does not appear to have direct bearing in the subject being discussed."

For instance, those who said, "RT will never be a top-10 QB" are making moot points regardless of their current argument- because their theory has been proven false. And while we can argue pocket presence and sack percentages until the cows come home, it has nothing to do with the initial conversation we've had for the past 7 years since we have a definite conclusion to it.

WADR, I posted the actual definition from a dictionary.

Here's another from the Merriam Webster:
: open to question : DEBATABLE
: subjected to discussion : DISPUTED
: deprived of practical significance : made abstract or purely academic

    Also from Merriam-Webster:

    • The court ruled that the issue is now moot because the people involved in the dispute have died.
    • I think they were wrong, but the point is moot. Their decision has been made and it can't be changed now.
Perhaps those examples shed some light on this.
