If Fitzmagic starts against the Redskins, and the NFL didn't intervene in the Jests game, we could be 7-9. With this roster.

    Wrap your head around that.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. Tells me Flores is one hell of a coach. At least this season...

If they fire coach whats-his-name? Yeah, very good chance the new coach wants a new QB, but can keep Stafford around for a year while Tua heals and learns. If Patricia is retained, he needs to win right away, so he'll want a player at #3 that can help him win in 2020. That won't be Tua, but an OL stud or defensive player.

I'm a little concerned about Chase Young's ability to have such a significant impact on games when his team isn't ahead by large margins and making opposing teams one-dimensional. Over the past several weeks Ohio State's games have been much closer on the scoreboard, and his impact has diminished considerably. His team in the NFL certainly isn't going to dominate on the scoreboard along the lines of how Ohio State did earlier this season. That doesn't happen in the NFL.

In the biggest game of the year, last night, Young did almost nothing.

Patricia will be back next year. They've already announced that I believe.

Nah, their GM/HC are on the hot seat, they can't afford a QB who might not even play year 1. Depending on their draft position, they will take Chase Young if available. If not, a defender is most likely - Okudah, Simmons or Brown. Outside shot they take Thomas or Jeudy/Lamb but I wouldn't say it's likely. They desperately need a better defense and defensive playmakers.

Stafford was, frankly, an MVP caliber QB this year until he got hurt. They will run with him this next year, and if it's another failed year, it's likely to be a complete revamp of the front office with a new one brought in to get a new QB. The only wild card is if his injury is much worse than they are letting on, but there is no evidence to suggest it.

Yep, and GM Bob Quinn. But they need to produce in 2020 or they are gone.

I wouldn't say he did almost nothing. He was constantly around the QB and getting pressure. I dont think he hit the stat sheet with a sack, but he forced Lawrence off his spots alot. A less mobile QB gets sacked multiple times last night by Young IMO. I get what you're saying though.

Tight ends are also notorious for being first year duds. Very few have more than a marginal impact as rookies and even really good ones don't have pro-bowl caliber years right off.

Better coaching + a year under his belt and we see some dividends. You can also see similar happening with a dude like Goeddert in Philly. Don't pick a tight end expecting an immediate impact.

A great point. My aggravation was with all the talk that he was basically a bust and stunk after last year that was commonplace when he was a first year player being forced into a blocking roll when he is a pass catching TE by an idiot head coach. This year he us being used to his strengths and has been very good.

    Good coaching. Who knew.

    What a game

One of the best seasons for me as fan since #13 retired. Amazing to see this XFL roster develop. Coach Flores.

Next years training camp will be the start of a championship run that will happen way sooner than anyone could have predicted.

I've said it in club the past few months.. the secondary battles in TC next year will be epic.

    We still need a QB.

We may be able to make the playoffs with a journeymen QB but to do any damage we need to develop (or less likely, sign) someone that can take us to that level.

The irony of it all. New England will more than likely play the Titans...play Tannehill. It's almost like Miami playing the Patriots in the playoffs!

    From a Pats forum:

"Can’t believe we have to play on wild card weekend like plebs."

Indeed. Someone apparently forgot to pay off the appropriate people this week - what an oversight. I mean what's all that money for if you can't guarantee wins with it? Now you have to mingle with the common folk in the dirty wildcard round. Shame.

Then again, apparently there's just no hope at all, "Let’s just get steamrolled by Tennessee and get it over with."

Seppuku anyone? "Time to blow this thing up. And the terrible second half of the season may be enough for Belichick to do it." Yes. The wildcard round. Perfect time to blow it up. Better to end it early with honour than be sullied with the wildcard scum.

That was the 3rd time in Brady's career that he lost at home to an AFC East opponent...and this was a must-win game for them! I think a lot of these no-name Dolphins will be back next season with a contract- Van Ginkel, Needham, etc. Was a great win today for Fitzpatrick and the entire organization, and it means we'll draft Tua a little bit later than planned.

Meanwhile, it also means New England has to face a red-hot Tennessee team with the league's best QB, the league's rushing leader and a pretty darn stingy defense as well. Merry Christmas Ryan Tannehill- from the entire Dolphins organization!

A lot of great players will be there at #5, I don't think I want to risk a high pick on the chance Tua fully recovers from the hip injury and becomes a durable QB in the NFL. Now, if we can grab him at #18 or with a trade up to #15 or so? Much better risk/reward.

We handed the Patriots to the Titans on a silver platter. Tannehill needs to plunge the dagger deep into the heart of the Patriots next weekend.

I missed the game but, just finished watching the highlights on NFL network. Maybe we should have given Rosen a second look.
Get real. That win was the perfect ending to an otherwise disappointing season. Better than the Miami Miracle.
About 7 months to training camp, I can't wait. Go Titans.

For the record, I said it would be a close game (it was), that we'd be leading most of the 1st half (I was right) and that we'd see the Miracle in Miami II, Gillette Edition at the end (which we did by the Pats). I honestly pouted a little when I logged on and nobody said, "Hey, you were actually somehow right!!!"

So no crow for me, thank you....but your post is the next best thing. =)

Just watched the game. Say what you will, but like I have said before I think our best plan of action for next season is to let Fitzpatrick start and have the QB we draft (Love?)sit a season to learn. Fitzpatrick has earned it and Flores loves the guy. Let's see what he can do when we surround him with more talent. If we do it right, I think he can be our Trent Dilfer. Parker had a good game, too, but one guy I want to see stick around for next year is Isaiah Ford. The dude really made some plays yesterday, didn't he? This was a big win. We finished strong and have lots to build on for next year. Guys are pumped and going to be working hard this off-season. Can't wait to see what the future holds!
