    Let's discuss OUR Quarterback.

I am not going to copy and paste a whole bunch of stats and I really don't want to get in to a bunch of comparisons with other QBs. If you want to post Fitz stats and discuss his QBness have at it. I want to talk about the man, the myth the legend that is Ryan Fitzpatrick

I'm not a big stats and numbers kinda guy. I've been watching, playing, coaching football for 50 years however and I know when I am watching A FOOTBALL PLAYER. Watching him lead this team, key word there, LEAD this team yesterday was amazing. Arm talent, protypical size, accuracy, decision making red zone efficiency, passer rating, all that stuff is important sure. But for a QB leadership is the most important quality. All that other stuff don't matter a bit if the other men on that team won't fight for their QB. Old man is out there balling, and having a ball. He's playing football on the beach on the Island of misfit toys and showing all them how to do the same. He's LEADING his team. This team needed a dad and they were lucky enough to find one. I hope he gets to finish this season and most if not all of next season and breaks Vinny Testaverde's record as a Dolphin.

History was made by Fitz yesterday. He is the only QB to ever throw a TD pass against 1 team as QB for 7 different teams.

And his Dad qualifications are pretty baller too. 7 kids all born in seven different states. I'd be really curious to find out which teams his family roots for. Probably all root for Dad whichever team he's on. It would be funny if they all rooted for the teams he was playing for when they were born.

    FINS UP FOR FITZPATRICK!!!

It might be the only time one of those commercials with like 10 people in one room all wearing a different team's gear is actually true.

The one thing that always comes to mind when I think about Fitzpatrick is how he would always find a way to kick our tails when he qb'd the Bills. Used to drive me nuts. Glad he's on our side now.

Fitzpatrick is a quarterback that when he has no pressure and enjoys himself, he plays great.

Once he gets the contract and becomes the guy, he is freaking terrible.

This Thanksgiving I was with a bunch of Ravens, Redskins and Vikings fans. We had so many disagreements about which teams we should root for (e.g., Ravens fans and I wanted the Cowboys to beat the Bills while the Redskins and Vikings fans hated the Cowboys, .. or Redskins fans and I wanted the 3-win teams Lions and Falcons to win while the Vikings fans wanted the opposite, etc...)

.. we ended up agreeing to root for the refs lol.

Sideline shot today, after he scored the rushing TD. Blood on his jersey, trainer in front of him, bloody elbow. Looks at trainer, "it's fine" wipes it on his jersey. Trainer looks at him for a second like, "I need to give you a band-aid!" and then walks away cuz Fitz is ignoring him.

Fitz is my pick for starting QB next year. Pick the best you can and let him learn. Let him learn how to LOVE PLAYING FOOTBALL from Fitz.

It looked like someone stomped on his throwing hand in the 4th quarter...there was a visible gouge mark just below his thumb. He completely ignored it though and just went about his business, LOL.

By the way, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week! And KC's mayor is sending him an assortment of BBQ from a number of local restaurants to thank him for the 1st round bye!

Listen, good season for Fitzpatrick and he can be great in short spurts but the guy has fooled many teams in the NFL before. If you're excited about him being the quarterback next year you really have to think again.

If you can't be excited about having a veteran like Fitz to hold the wall while the rookie we draft learns how to play NFL football than you really haven't thought the first time, let alone thinking again.

I'm just warning the fans, the ones who will inevitably post their predictions here for next season that Miami is going to go 12-4 and make a Super Bowl run with him to remember that it's still Ryan Fitzpatrick.

And yes, there will be people here who think Miami will be a Super Bowl contender next year based on this late season success.

Yeah, the fans really need your warnings. Sure.

I don't see anyone saying that we are set at QB with Fitz and predicting us as Superbowl contenders for next year, but even if they did, so what? What's wrong with that? What's wrong with being hopeful? That's a big part of being a fan of a sport team. Is it better to wake everyday, eat a bowl of urine and cornflakes, think everything just sucks and it's all hopeless? ..to wallow in the depths of despair? You do realize that, if we do draft a rookie QB, it would most likely be very good for his development to learn behind a smart, experienced vet QB, no? ...all whist the team can maybe have a little fun and success in the process? You really need to take off those poop colored glasses and learn to smell the roses, dude because, come this time next year, we all may be fertilizing them. :sidelol::drink:...enjoy the win.
