I'd be hyped if that ended up being our draft. I absolutely love the first five picks.

My issue would be too many linemen in those first six picks. I like the idea of building an offense before the defense.

Thanks all, yeah i know i would have rather trade down from 19 to 24th for and extra 2nd rounder.

But this would solidify our oline. jesse davis is not gonna cut it and Kilgore gotta go. We need a new whole unit.

We gotta sign a Top Guard in free agency.

Im not a huge fan of Tua but I'm not going to try and predict his success. I will just trust the team and hope for the best.

That said if I had to choose three positions for the first three picks I'd probably go:

QB, LB, OT in no order depending who was there. From there I'd try and find a HB, DE and maybe a center with the next set of picks.

The only critical thing missing is an Edge player which we definitely need in this draft.

How likely is it that Swift is still there at#62?

Do you take issue with the players or the position they play?

I wouldnt draft Wills nor Leatherwood in the second round.. they lack strength... and are turnstile against top competition..

And I dont think Tua will be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

We need more defense than projected here, though I understand you won't build a whole unit overnight.

Overall, too many OL too early. No way we start 3-4 rookies on a line, that's not happening. I wouldn't be mad at using a first rounder on a T or G - even a center (the Wisconsin kid namely), and maybe 1-2 more overall, but not 4 of the top 6.

Depends on if the plan is to field a competitive team next season. I thought the most consistently deficient aspect of this season's squad was the agonizing lack of a pass rush. We let some pretty average QBs pick us apart because nobody was getting in his face. All things being equal, we could probably have won another two or three games with a Wake (in his prime) type edge rusher. Probably the Pittsburg, Jest and Redskins games.
One or two picks to the o-line. The rest will have to be filled in with free agents and effective coaching.
We need one or two RBs.
I'll leave it to the coaches to decide on what to do with the QB position. Rosen may still have some potential.
I'd like to see them keep Fitz around. If he can't beat out the kids to play then, hire him as a QB coach.
I am not a fan of taking Tua with the first pick. I like his accuracy but, if there are durability concerns in college it won't get any easier in the pros. Definitely take a QB with the 2nd or 3rd pick if they see one they like.
It's not all going to get fixed in one draft. BPA at a position of greatest need this year. Smooth out the bumps and fill in the holes next draft.
    Play-off run in year three.

I just hope someone takes Tua before us. I would much rather take a QB later on.

It would be a mistake to take Tua that early. That injury is going to cut his career short.

I just saw a mock draft I think on CBS or something that had us taking Love at #5

If Tua doesn't declare, if the medicals don't look good or if he gets drafted by someone trading ahead of us ...

Love is probably a realistic target. His strengths and abilities will play well during the offseason, combine and draft process and he will be seen as a riser. With a host of QB needy teams right after us, we either take him 5th or write off QB for a year, which I don't see as likely. It would likely be between him and Herbert, and it seems Love may better fit what we want to do than Herbert.

Most of our draft will hinge on Tua I suspect.

Most mocks have us split between Herbert and Tua...I also saw one that had us grabbing Love and another taking a left tackle at #5 (with Herbert at #18 in that one).

I also came across one that had us trading #5, #23 and a 1st next season for Burrow, then using #18 for WR Ruggs III and RB Swift in the 2nd. I think that one is my favorite so far!

I don't see the Bengals taking that deal unless they just don't like Burrow, in which case, why would we?

Ruggs would be an interesting pairing with Parker and Williams though, and I could definitely get behind a Swift, Taylor, Dobbins or Etienne in the 2nd-3rd round.

I struggle to see us picking a top 5 tackle after trading Tunsil though, unless Grier just falls in love with a Thomas or Wills.

We're not taking Love at 5. He'll likely be there in the second round. I hope we don't take him at all. I'd rather have Eason.

My issue with an OT at #5 is that there are some late first round prospects that dont necessarily represent a massive drop off from the talent at #5.
