I understand mods want posters treated with respect.

However, bad faith posting is disrespectful. It is what causes the vast majority of problems on this site. Also, a person that has been perma banned numerous times that comes back numerous times under different aliases, just so they can keep posting in bad faith, then "respecting other poster" rules seem to only apply to everyone but that poster. That person is disrespectful to every good faith poster on this site, yet that seems to be inconsequential.

If any member on the boards feels that someone is trolling they should report the posts and it can be evaluated. At no point is anyone required to read or reply to the posts of other members on the boards. If members choose to engage others and not simply ignore them and so to prolong a thread or discussion that they deem unhelpful or distracting, then that's their own choice. In general, the best way to deal with trolls is to not feed them. Report them and they'll be evaluated.

Ok fine. I reported the poster. Let’s see if anything happens.

Over 24 hours later and nothing happened. Like I thought.

I guess going forward maybe you guys shouldn't lecture us on respecting our fellow poster and instead just tell us to follow the arbitrary rules being pushed, because respect for fellow posters is clearly not important.

Fin - we are under no obligation to operate according to your time frames or expectations. We're people who have lives and who have more things to moderate on this forum than just your request.

The issue is raised and is being looked at. We will respond accordingly in due time.

So what's a fair amount of time then? 3 days? Week? Month?

I mean that poster has been doing this stuff for years and has been on here for this particular bout for months now. People were getting in trouble for pointing him out for weeks ago too.....so this isn't a new thing.
