2 years 7.5 million guaranteed. Coming off a torn pectoral injury. Should be good to go by training camp, decent depth guy. We still need a stud DE.

Not sure we will tbh, I think we spent the big defensive money in the backfield on X and Jones. And if you think to New England, they typically have solid but unspectacular guys who are as much run defenders as pass rushers. Not sure we are going after a sack master.

We need more on the OL though.

Hope he is healthy... I absolutely love Ogbah.... Very underrated player. I think he fits here nicely because he does his job and creates problems even when he is not getting sacks etc... Van Noy is another player like that... Put enough guys on the field that do their jobs and then some and you are going to make a lot of plays. We have elite corners... We added Lawson who can get to the QB We added a safety that is a special teams beast...

It is all coming together nicely.

Flores was going after Jadaveon hard last season.. he wants his stud de. It may come from the draft though.

Not sure how much of that was Clowney was available vs he wanted a “stud DE.”

I'm thinking he likes the pass rush by committee with flexibility to do different things. Bottom line is our pass rush is much better.

I think we focus on OL and offensive play makers unless someone on D with too much value falls to us.

Better coverage on the backend giving an improved pass rush an extra second to get to the QB? Sounds like a good defense to me. We need a stud DT to help stop the run though and the OL is still pretty weak right now.

Clowney is not a stud pass rusher, but he is a stud run defender. Setting that edge is why Miami wanted him. Ogbah is similar in that regard. He's not as good as Clowney of course, but I do think Ogbah and Lawson fill that need for Miami.
