I mean who has the prototypical bill attributes ?

I dream of the release by the panthers of a carr release, and in this case, sign him, with carr and beck we could be in good shape at QB with young guns, at TE i dream of a troupe signature and at CB truffant his my choice, but does they have the bill parcells profil IYO ?

    good game dolfans

BP will never sign Carr, he's just too careless with the ball. Troupe might be something though.

Right now I don't see a veteran QB that I would want to lead this team. When we sign someone it will a one year fix for competition. As far as TE, I like Chris Cooley from the Redskins. I think he is a FA. He can play TE and FB.

Dont think theres much out there at QB beyond Derek Anderson, and I highly doubt we even look at him because he is a RFA anyway. Maybe we bring Pennington in if the Jets let him go, but I don't think anyone will get excited by that.

L.J. Smith and Eric Johnson are out there at TE, and either one of them could be interesting. The Free Agent market really isnt that impressive this season.

agree, don't seem impressive this year netherless we must sign a young vet QB, and I think carr or pennington are possible ! (every week I am mad we miss brees 2 years ago)

I think if Pennington becomes available that Parcell's may pursue him. Forget about David Carr. Have you even watched him play this season? It's pretty bad when you're moved to the bottom of the depth chart when the guys ahead of you are 44 year old Vinny Testaverde and a undrafted rookie Matt Moore. Who knows, if Trent Green can get medical clearance, he could be back again.

Just to throw a possible name out there: and I'm not saying I am huge fan, but he is certainly a decent QB who MIGHT become available considering the play of Matt Moore: Jake Delhomme. Now it's not likely he WILL be available. But given the fact the Matt Moore is younger, and the Panthers are entering a bit of a rebuilding mode, it's slightly possible Delhomme could be let go. He'd be okay for a season or so to get a young QB ready - whether it be Beck or another QB.

Again, I'm not saying he will be available and I'm not saying I would jump all over him if he were (he makes his share of boneheaded mistakes) but he has the type of fiery, competitive personality that could help push a young offense to improve.

There are no attractive free agents that will be available. Not one. And if we were to bring in Carr or Pennington, I would probably throw up.

I think we need to get a good TE this offseason whether a FA or a draftee. One of the many reasons for our struggles is we have nobody to take up the middle of the field.

I'd rather take Delhomme than Pennington. Hes more of a possibility IMO.

If indy lets Dallas Clark go he could be an option and we could bring in L.J. Smith he is a good TE but is hurt this year i think that y his stats have droped BAD
Quinn Gray is someone the dolphins could bring in for a work out and if the browns dont sign Anderson because they like Quinn he would be someone to bring in for a work out but i dont really know about Anderson he has alot of talent around him and he wouldnt have that in miami so i think i would stick with Quinn Gray

No way Lemon is on this team next year, he has not shown you that he is starting material and you can't count on a second year player to lead the team. We wil have a veteran leading the team at QB next year. I think Pennington is the best one available, even with his damaged arm.

we wont get Ryan or Brohm because i dont think we draft a QB in the First i think we might get a QB like Colt Brennan or Andre' Woodson and i would be happy with eather of those two guys running the dolphins Offence

you start your franchise at QB, and if beck is still a question then you are picking one and adding a vet

Not a whole lot to pick from out there in free agency.....Beck had that fumble today but looked good after that....had his 1st TD pass plus ran for one plus the 2 point after the TD.

    Ozzy rules!!

it would have been nice if our dope head coach went for it on 4th and 2 with eight minutes left in the game to give beck more oppurtunities to play, instead you punt in a meaningless game down 11 and the kid only gets garbage time

David Carr is awful. Pennington is not bad, he's not good but he'd be servicable for a season. I'd like to see the team draft a TE on the 1st day.

Good find...have not thought of him. Someone who can come in a play ok without giving up too much. Not thrilled with him..but better than the other vet options out there.

after losing soo much at this point, just blow it up and play the franchise guy right away so we can move past the development phase, draft a franchise guy or start beck

I cant believe someone would still want David Carr. The man is absolutely terrible. Honestly, hes terrible. Just because he was a #1 pick doesnt mean we should look at him, he doesnt deserve that even.
Pennington is not at all exciting either, but still 10 times better than Carr. Hell, Id rather get Bledsoe or Testaverde over Carr, hes that bad.

That all said, there really isnt much out there for FA QBs. I wouldnt be stunned to see Trent Green back in uni on gameday, though at this point, I think it needs to be Beck assuming hes still on the team.
Lemon is more attractive to me than any other names Ive listed thus far, so its likely either him or Beck or Matt Ryan/Brian Brohm/Andre Woodson etc.

No doubt. I would MUCH rather have Delhomme if he were to become available

I'm not a huge fan of his. In fact, I've been pretty critical of his mistake prone ways. But he is the type of QB that can push an offense a little. And he fits the type of QB we would need in a ball control-type offense.
