So many people blasting this pick yet many blasting are likely the same that were all Tank for Tua only 6 months ago. Personally I like the pick because the Phins are rolling the dice and going for it. Tua to me looks a bit of a Left Handed version of Russell Wilson, yeah I’ll take that at no. 5 overall.

And to the question of him done once he gets on the field, newsflash he ain’t seeing the field this coming season and will have the whole year to learn under Fitzpatrick and let that hip mend even further.

I’ll root for the kid and hope the Dolphins put as much in place to protect the asset and future of the Franchise. Phins Up!

Willis will be there at 13 and we are perfect trade partners with SF. Do we pull the trigger?

Grier has been all over Tua for like 2 years now. Once the medicals cleared, that was all she wrote. Great job on Grier correctly reading the board and sitting tight to get his dude instead of making the panicky move.

Well it's over now. I'm interested to see how badly we screw up the rest of the draft with it starting that poorly.

As in, talentless and provides nothing to our team going forward.

Just as I thought. NFL is a bunch of old people who are conservative. No trades due to the uncertainty of this experience.

Never been a fan of him. I’ll be optimistic at this point but don’t like short QB’s with injury issues. I think this is a bust but hope I’m wrong.

Just flat out untrue. You can dislike a player, but that's off the wall nonsense. Have a beer and chill bro.

Well, I wasn't sold on Tua either, but he's a Dolphin now, so I am gonna root for him (not saying you are not). As far as our front office is concerned, they just said that Tua was not unanimous in that some wanted Herbert. That's fair. It is a worthy debate. So, to me, they chose Tua over Herbert. Why? There must be some compelling reason for them to take a guy who is an injury risk over a physical stud like Herbert. They didn't just flip a coin. There was a reason Tua got the nod.

Tua fits the mold of the emerging prototype passer in the league.

I dont see a single thing he does well personally that translates. That's just my opinion.

I want him to succeed now but he just wont. He doesnt have a shred of NFL level talent.

It's just one pick out of three in the first round. If Tua is great, it's a home run. If he's a bust, it was one pick out of 14.

On the other hand, with everything seemingly going smoothly so far, wonder if that springs into action at some point. We worked it well at 5, will see if we strike to nab Wills or Wirfs.

I was going to guess it was something Saban said. I know coaches will want to sell their players to a degree, but I think Saban would be honest with Grier and tell him the good and bad about Tua. I think Saban values being a resource and wouldn't want to mislead anyone on what he thinks of a player.

What the **** are you yapping about? Tua is not in any way shape or form a prototype NFL QB.

Only thing good about him is he finds the open man and is very accurate when he has room to throw.

He is not going to have an all star team in Miami to help him look good.

Genuinely curious....are you saying this as a person who has watched the film on Tua and really studied his game or are you just saying this because you feel like it. Outside of injury concerns I've never heard or read that Tua did not have NFL ability. What did you catch that all other experts missed?
