Anywhere from 9th to 4th most cap space depending on salary retention on Harris and Cap space rollover.

    most draft picks.

    no brady in the way.

This is getting extremely ****ing fun.

It very much is! Right now, the team would have about 75m in cap space next season, and depending on how high the draft picks are, they would be able to use 60-65m of that on extensions and free agents. And the only really important players up for extensions are Breida, McMillan and Godchaux. Some others might be extended based on how they play this coming season, but I would still guess we should go into UFA with 40m+ in cap space to being guys in from the outside. One all of these guys get used to playing together, and the young ones are ready, we very well could have a competitive window for a few years starting in 2022.

Yup, I have a feeling 2022 will be our year....I know it's crazy thinking three years out but that's realistically how long it will take to develop our current talent and make next year's crop of players fit. Some will obviously bust (hopefully not Tua AND Rosen) but it really does feel like we're on the right path with a clear long-term vision....which I don't think I've seen as an adult in this organization (I'm 47). It's nothing to cheer about YET but I think we are headed in the right direction and hopefully we've solved the most important piece in a young franchise QB. As long as we continue to invest in the line, we're over halfway to where we need to be by the end of next season.

I know it's odd considering we've just given up a fifth for him but would it shock anyone if we didn't extend Breida?

I'm not sure that it would shock me, but I'd be badly disappointed. Hes very much the type of rb I want to build around.

Yeah, if Grier can hit on his picks, with what Flores has shown us, the future looks bright.

I wonder, do we have any contracts we need to lock up this year Or next?

Assuming our FA/draft OL solidifies, our needs will be S, DL, WR, RB and maybe TE.

Yeah, factoring in the draft and rollover, we should have in the neighborhood of 40 to 50m to spend in free agency next year.
