That's a rough stretch! Eli was obviously not going to play forever, especially at a high level. But with Luck, its understandable that anyone would pencil him in to be their high level starter for years to come, and Smith was a quality backup. Matt Ryan is getting old fast on my team too. I forgot until I read recently that he turned 35 this summer.
Hi there, we can pencil you in to take over the team. If you want to just plan on that, that’d be great. Thanks and welcome!
I say as soon as Simon gets up I guess. Unless of course he wants to take the pressure off and trade it to me lol 1 more day!!
I don't pick until #17, but I'm a whole lot happier with Nick Chubb than I would have been anyone that I drafted at #5, so I'm not stressing it. I'll pay close attention and be ready when my pick it up, regardless.
I guess technically we’re up before Simon lol so it technically can start earlier but probably not moving before then lol **Note to self - don’t calculate and discuss time zones when brain is not fully engaged lol
Yeah, its all fun and games until the bear is at your own house. We had a young one destroy our bird feeder last week. Now I check both ways when I step outside!
Oh goodness! No doubt! I will day when we went hiking in Glacier it was much different feeling when we had our kids with us and when we didn’t. Much less care when just the wife and I lol
FYI in case anyone tries to PM you may have to get to 5 posts before you can receive private messages which could be important for trade offers.
Quick question that popped into my head today. After the draft, and after we all cut players to get down to 25 man rosters, does the league open up properly at that point? Or does that not happen until the regular season starts? I couldnt remember.
I did it last year because I had first pick but no one else can edit it if I do it besides unlucky. I would recommend @GridIronKing34 do it so I can help update selections and @Unlucky 13 can as well if he wants.
@GridIronKing34 you could probably go ahead and post the link as those in England are the first 2 spots. So they probably aren’t awake any more. Up to you! Looking for another 1st or 2 and a 2nd or 2. Let me know if you’re interested in moving your pick as we go through the draft!!
Draft thread has been created, please only make selections there (no commentary). @Simon is on the clock, he may pick whenever.
We are rolling with @Simon and @TaylorGators getting their picks in early!! @UCFinfan86 is on the clock and @Xiidaen is on deck!! It’s draft season guys!! Woohoo!!
I actually thought that the order the RBs came off the board could have gone in any number of different directions through the top 5.
There definitely are a clear top 5, and some minor tiers among them. I’d say the top 2 of the top 5 went first and now it’s more of how folks see the next 3. We shall see. And how the WRs fit in to the top tiers too. They are another group with a decent top the has smaller separation tiers too. This is a deep draft for sure overall.
Open and Willing to move pieces like Juju, David Montgomery, Tariq Cohen, Hooper, and many others for draft picks. Let me know if there is something that you'd be interested in and we can see if we can work out a deal. Thanks! Good Luck everyone!
Forsett trades: 1.3 B4him13: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster I was stunned when JuJu was traded for so cheap earlier and really like him. Hope I don’t regret passing on a top RB here.
It was nice knowing you and hard to pass you along, but hopefully it turns out for the best. I accept! Now, here's hoping I don't make the biggest draft mistake since Paxton Lynch over Carson Wentz in our league or Tribusky over Watson/Mahomes in the NFL.
Juju is very good, and still very young. The Steelers QB situation is pretty cloudy for a while, though. (Says the guy who's #1 WR plays for the Bears)
