Yep.....going to be interesting to see what happens. Braves just played the Marlins last week and then D'Arnaud and Flowers had symptoms but negative tests, too. Hopefully they contained it and it doesn't spread through Atlanta too.
Braves just played the Mets but freeman who had covid was symptom free and TDA and Flowers stayed home
Eddie Goldman of Chicago D sitting out. That's a big blow to their D. Probably biggest name so far to opt out.
They know the importance of an elite QB first hand amIright. Would be so apropos as a Miami fan to watch the Dolphins prematurely remove their name from the Trevor Lawrence hat despite being in a fantastic position to get him, only to watch it allow New England to swoop in for the kill. Then we spend 35 straight yrs getting beat up on by 2 consecutive New England QBs. I would’ve either carried out the tank an extra year or traded for an extra 2021 1st for no other reason than to give my best effort to prevent the Patriots from landing TL.
They’ll win 5-6 games by accident though. BB is still there..and Newton has a lot to play for if he wants to be a starting qb
OMG really!?. Take a Midol, drink a glass of wine and listen to some Barry Manilow. You'll be fine tomorrow sunshine.
Nope. The best cheaters in the biz will figure out how to property lose games, lol. That’s why they were spying on Cincy last yr— to see what it takes to become a dumpster fire and get the #1 pick!
Depending on where you look it’s either August 3rd or 4th. Pff says the 3rd https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-player...s-opting-out-2020-season-covid-19-coronavirus
The opt out date WAS the1st. Then it was the 3rd. Now, its fluid, but no sooner than the 4th. Wouldn't surprise me if they keep pushing it back to give players on the fence more time.
There's been talk in recent days that the league would have to give something back to the players to get the quicker deadline. I wonder if they did. They clearly seem to be trying to close the door as soon as possible before more players make the choice to play it safe.
I think there was a lot of talks about what were considered high risk covid activities and what weren’t. The one change I saw was church was removed from that list. The deadline being set is a good thing for fantasy football. Creates a bit of a known going into the year.
Yeah, I'll upload the rosters over the weekend then. We'll just go with an added roster spot and IR spot for this season given the unknown of covid19. There hasn't been much impact for opt-outs in terms of fantasy football IMO.
I’d recommend maxing IR slots at 5 for this year only. We did that in my 2 dynasty baseball leagues. There’s going to be covid injuries and missed games. It’s possible that someone(s) roster does get hit harder then a typical season.
Will we be notified in advance (1-3 days?) regarding FAAB or does Yahoo start automatically by default? *it may have been discussed already but i don't want to search
Since I have two guys on my team who have opted out, I have an extra interest in whatever rule updates we make.
I'll add one additional roster spot and we can have 5 IR slots. If you have a player on your original 25 man roster that opts out before the deadline, we might be able to work something out if you cannot place them on the IR.
I'll message everyone as soon as I input the roster as well as e-mail the league. It'll likely be done tomorrow evening after the opt-out deadline or sometime over the weekend.
If you need it here’s a list of every player who opted out now that the deadline has passed https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/1997390
Players could "retire" for this season and then come back in 2021 also. They would have to pay back signing bonus money if any is owed.
Well, I lost my #4 and #5 WRs, which I'm not excited about. But I guess I'll be able to sort through the free agents once the league is officially open for business.
Rosters are entered. We have 26 roster slots and 5 IR slots this season. If you notice a player on your roster that you originally cut, it's because we expanded the rosters to 26. The only discrepancy that we had is with Bryzzo's team. Apparently Donte Moncrief is not in Yahoo's database anymore. For that reason, that team's owner will notice that they have a few extra players that they had originally cut on their roster. Waivers process on August 8 sometime in the early morning so make your bids today or tomorrow. @Puka-head @Unlucky 13 @SICK @UCFinfan86 @Xiidaen @ToddPhin @Simon @TaylorGators @Boik14 @vmarcilfan75 @B4him13
Man you guys scooped up most of the good ones left lol. Was hoping someone might sneak through so I didn’t lose my #1 waiver slot. Not even my the DEF I wanted was left lol.
I only got the defense that I wanted, but that was all. Some guys were really aggressive with their bids.
