What i like most is that our future in Henne is learning every day from him...what an advantage for him and us as fans.....perfect situation for henne

I agree. Pennington is a smart QB theres no doubt about that. That IMO is one of the best attributes he brings to our team. As you said, its a perfect situation for Henne, and Beck as well to learn from. Could definately see Pennington as a coach as well. Maybe not a HC, but a QB coach for sure.

Would've been a great Quarterback if he had remained healthy too. Chad will one day make a great QB coach but he has made more mistakes than usual from 2005-present.

For some reason I can't imagine Mangini saying that with a straight face.

    Neither can I.

More like: "Chad can do anything he wants... besides throw a ball 30 yards more than once a season."

He can make those 30 yard throws. He just has to throw them a bit early and hopes a CB or S doesn't close. :D

    Slightly left of center
If Pennington throws not a single ball longer than thirty yards, but completes 350-400 10-15 yders, nobody around here will be complaining. Except maybe the Jets fans

Has any NFL QB ever made a great coach? Or even a successful one?

QB greats like Bart Starr, Norm Van Brocklin, Steve Spurrier, Sammy Baugh and Otto Graham have all tried and failed and miserably in some cases.

I just hope that Pennington takes the Jets defense to school tomorrow.

Amen on that. Chad is a stand-up guy and I would love to have him stay on the team as a QB coach after he's hangs em up. I think he would fit right in like a glove.

No doubt, goes without saying :)

I hope we really lay the wood on them today. I hope we punch them in the mouth repeatedly and walk off the field victorious.

I'm just hoping he plays really well for us for 1-2 years before this becomes a consideration. And yeah, love the fact Henne & Beck are learning from him. Our future at QB is looking brighter than it has in a long time, well since Marino retired, that's for sure!
