Most people I know aren’t giving the Heat even a chance in this upcoming series. Man I hope they are proven wrong.

I’ve seen a Heat team beat the OKC team that had Durant, Westbrooke and Harden by using their depth. I feel there are similarities in this upcoming series.

With Riley and Spo throwing different players in different situations anything is possible!

The question was dumb, for sure. That doesn’t make her a moron. She’s a good “company man”, feeding the ESPN storyline.

Lakers arent even as good as our Big 3 was.

If we could lose a finals, they sure as hell can too.

And we can make fun of people for that. That’s the definition of selling out and not having integrity. Skip gets the most **** for it, deservedly so. Shes the useful idiot. Throw her out there and have her ask the dumb **** no one else wants to, because she will, and because we want her too. And she’s intelligent, obviously, she went to northwestern. But you can be a dumb smart person. I pride myself on it.

I don’t mind her really. I don’t have to listen to her all game. I do have to listen to Chris Webber, Mark Jackson, and Van Gundy all game though. That’s truly unbearable.

That’s true, and we lost 2. I think this heat team is similar to the 2014 Spurs team. Just a well oiled machine playing amazing team basketball with elite coaching.

I personally think Bam drives AD insane this series. I cannot wait to see what Spo runs on defense. This is free money baby. We aren’t even supposed to be here. whatever happens, happens.

I see lakers fans all over Twitter saying it’s personal for Lebron, no way it goes past 5. How the hell is it personal for Lebron? He left, he dicked us over, he disrespected our President/legend, and he tried getting our president to fire our coach. It’s personal alright. Spo and Pat want this more than anybody.

I'm not sure if the Heat can win four times in this series, but to me they're already champions for this absolutely incredible run. Yet somehow I expect them to come out in game one and punch the Lakers right in their mouth, frustrate the heck out of their offense and steal game one...that's just what this team has done all year long. I think it will be a very good series and some Lakers fans are going to be shocked...this Heat team just feels special the way they play together on both sides of the court.

And the part where it's personal for LeBron....he wanted to quit completely a few weeks ago! I think he really blew it as the face of the NBA and lost tons of respect from other players. This is very personal for the Heat as well....

Whenever I watch sports, I always mute the TV and listen to music. Even Dolphins games. I know what I’m seeing. I don’t need someone spewing cliches at me all game. I know Tannehill played WR. I know Fitzpatrick played for a lotta teams. Sometimes I’m confused about a penalty, but it’s a worthy tradeoff.

If AD plays the 4, who’s guarding Javale McGee? I gotta think Bam covers AD and Jimmy sticks LeBron. Unless they play zone the whole time which would be nuts.

Van Gundy is the only announcer that I legitimately hate. Hes so bias and annoying.

Jimmy Butler barely touches someone: WOW HOW IS THAT NOT A FOUL?

Herro gets clubbed in the chest: WHAT A STEAL

I don’t think we’re going to win either, unfortunately. But I do think this will light the fire that will bring Embiid to Miami. The lack of a stretch big is the only thing keeping the Heat from the title.

I heard rumors that the Greek Freak may want out of Milwaukee and I think he'd be a perfect fit for our playstyle and mentality. It's also a huge plus that he would come to Miami as the star/face of the franchise, so it's not like he's jumping into someone else's shadow. That's my one-person wish list for the offseason!

    Same.

Though we are winning it all without him this year anyway. Just to be clear I do recognize that we are underdogs and that we, in theory, should lose....

Screw all that. Wow the Lakers had a better record? Big deal. We came from nothing and surprised the world. We already knocked out a #1 seed we shouldnt have and the Celtics are a scrappier team than LA though not as talented.

    We can do this.

Honestly I'd just let either Lebron or AD get his and focus on locking down everyone else. You arent shutting them both down, but our depth is better. The bench will be the fire that keeps us in it, but they have to play well.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I think we have an okay chance of shocking the world in this final round. Then again, so many former greats (Reggie Miller, etc.) have picked the Heat in 7 and they all give the exact same reason- this team is just special because they come together 100% and that makes them the most dominant force inside the bubble.

Because guess what- the Heat have the same record as the Lakers in the playoffs and we've arguably had the harder path to the finals. I don't know if LA beats Milwaukee or Boston easily in a 7 game series (or at all for that matter)...and we donkey-stomped 'em both! LA will have the two biggest stars on the court but I just don't think that matters- I really feel like we can slow LeBron enough to frustrate him and steal a few early wins. And if it's not LeBron carrying that team, they just don't have the shooters we do to spread out the points and get everyone involved.

I think Tyler Herro and Bam are going to go ballistic in game 1 and set the tone for an ugly, drag-em-out series that plays to our favor. So even though every ounce of logic says the Lakers in 4 or 5, my gut is telling me to BELIEVE it's the Heat in 7.

I'll tell you what though- for this Heat team during COVID with nothing else really going on at night with all re-runs on TV....this year has been so darn special for me. I will never forget this Miami Heat team and how they've paid tribute to our past greats like Zo and D-Wade. I'm ashamed to say that I didn't watch a single regular-season game because we had a bunch of nobodies, Wade was finally out and I expected a quick first-round exit this season....it's so freakin' wonderful to get such a surprise and be so wrong about a franchise.

Tyler Herro is my Herro! I've already ordered his jersey from China in that horrible Miami Heat blue/pink. Yet I'm going to rock that Miami Subs jersey because he's my guy! I ordered Bam in black as well. =)

Bam and Giannis are too similar. I would rather have Embiid since we already have Bam, who outplayed Giannis in the playoffs.

Honestly I dont think they are similar enough to not work together. Wade and Lebron were "similar" I'd still rather have them together.

I wouldnt be mad with Embiid either though. I think the plan with Bam is to extend his range like Bosh, it wont happen overnight though. It's a process.

I'm hyped for the game tonight. Best stat? Lebron is 3-6 in NBA Finals series.

I'm not saying it's due to him. It's not. My point is that hes always the guy to get through and 6 times it's been done. Let's make it seven.

Bam and Giannis have completely different skill sets. Riley’s plan all along is to defeat Giannis and then sign him.

It’s not looking good, boys. Dragic probably out for the series and he’s been so important for us in these playoffs. He’s one of our dogs. Bam and Jimmy both beat up. It’s going to take legendary performances from Jimmy and Bam to pull this off, with some Herro ball performances sprinkled in.

Not losing faith. Lebron James and Anthony Davis are both *****es. Bam won’t come out going 2-8 again. We won’t keep shooting 30% from 3. Just sloppy basketball all around from Miami which I expect will get cleaned up.

Win game 2 and tie this series up.

We need a stretch four and a backup big for when Bam goes to the bench. Could also use a backup point guard.

There’s always worry when your most important player leaves the game and doesn’t come back in. But x rays are negative, early reports look good. He’s going to play Friday.

Riley and Spo know what we need. We’re in an incredible position to load up and keep our core intact. And we have assets. I love the youngins, but Riley doesn’t give a ****. We could get Embiid and keep Bam and Butler. Or Beal.

We thought we were stacked at PG, right? Nunn was close to winning ROTY. Herro proved he can facilitate and go off. Dragic is Dragic, carrying us to important playoff victories. Butler is more than capable of running the point. But when your rookies play like actual rookies like they did tonight, particularly Tyler, that depth doesn’t look as good. Plus we couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn tonight.

I think we’re going to be seeing more Nunn than we’ve seen all playoffs. Tyler needs to lock in as well.

We’re facing the best ball player of all time, and a top 5 NBA player. This ******* has repeatedly played GM and teamed up with his Agent buddy to ship out all young talent and force trades to make his team better. This isn’t just timing FA right, this is more diabolical. And it’s genius.

We shouldn’t panic yet. It’s not like we played a complete game and got wrecked. We played like ****, we shot like ****, we got bruised up, we didn’t defend, and we were careless with the ball. Spo is up right now watching film.

    heat in 6

If I’m Spoelstra I would go back to the regular season starting lineup with Nunn and Leonard. The Lakers are just too big to play Solomon Hill and DJJ...that was ridiculous. Crowder also struggled to guard AD. We need Leonard and Olynyk in this series, we need size.

I'm not worried at all. The Lakers got really hot on well contested 3's early. They arent that great of a team from beyond the arc.

I'm more concerned with our injuries than the result of game one.

If we are healthy enough it's still all good. They hit a lot of contested 3's to get back into the game and take over, I cant see them keeping that up. It isnt their identity at all.

Our guys are young. It was their first finals game, it's sort of to be expected a few might press too hard or try to do too much.

Just need to regroup and play Heat basketball.

It was a deer in the headlights yesterday. That happens to young, inexperienced teams. Igoudala is the only one playing with Finals experience, and he's 5 years removed from his Final MVP. Hopefully, the Heat can be more competitive the rest of series. Either way, the Heat are still well ahead of schedule in terms of team building, and they can add more this offseason to make a better roster.

I know he wont play a minute, but is Haslem technically on the playoff roster? Lol

If the series went to like 3-0 I'd love to see him suit up one last time even if it's for like 3 to 5 minutes in garbage time. Even though I know 100000% it wont happen.

    Noone is in denial.

We all recognize reality. There is a difference between knowing what is likely and giving yourself up to fate though.

Sorry, I personally believe if you have a single breath in you, you keep fighting. You dont just say "We lose" because that is kind of pathetic.

You leave the game to find out how bad it is and not aggravate it further. It’s not like it was a close game.
