In regards to how the game has changed, it's basically the same way with basketball. Good physical, tough defense does not exist anymore and it's all based on offense and spacing. Not sure if there are less injuries because of it, but I think that was the idea behind it. Generally people think offense is more entertaining as well. I personally like defensive games, I like the physicality of it, but I can also appreciate a good shootout.
My year two take on the rebuild has actually been exactly what I expected. I'm not at all disappointed with the way things have gone. We have had a very tough schedule to start the season. I think a lot of people got all hyped about the end of last year, but we played either bad teams tanking for a pick, or playoff teams that were in chill mode (Eagles, Pats). It shouldn't be a surprise or a let down that this team is currently sitting at 1-3. Look at who we have played. New England can hang with anyone in the league and is probably a playoff team again this year, San Fran has a Super Bowl roster, Seattle with Wilson is easily a contender in the NFL, and the Buffalo Bills are my sleeper SB pick this year if they stay healthy. I mention the 49ers because that will be our 4th loss of the season. I'm prepared for this team to only win 5 or 6 games this year. In fact, upon looking at our schedule, I can see a 4-12 record for the year.
In short, I think the team plays hard, but until we find a cornerstone at the quarterback position, we're going to struggle. We have no dominant running back to lean on either, so it makes it even harder. If you're not going to have a Derrick Henry on your team, then you better have a great quarterback that can lead and also give you a chance to win every Sunday.

Reading comprehension, dude. Right in the FIRST FREAKING SENTENCE even. I am not "calling for his job," I am saying his job is in danger.

I don't think his job is in danger until next year.
Ross hates firing people, especially people he likes.

Yeah, I don't think Coach Flo is in danger or even on the warm seat yet. The team would be stupid to fire him when the process isn't even completed. I think by next year if the team isn't winning, we could start to see some Flores "hot takes", but it's way too early for this. I mean...That's pretty dramatic...Not as dramatic as Tua being a waste of a pick already, but...pretty bad.

I'm not a fan of Flores but even I think this year is way too soon to fire him. Hes been mediocre at best and at worst, i cant judge him entirely off being mediocre with a mediocre team where the parts are being replaced constantly.

The thing is, the first few weeks it really looked like defenses were just coming out and playing the most bland and vanilla schemes possible to prevent miscues and miscommunications on more complex plays.

I do feel like the last week or two a few teams are starting to come around defensively, finally.

I like what I’ve seen from Flores. He took the least talented team last year, beat the Pats when that game mattered and had them believing. This year we’re winning games now and have a chance at a decent record.

Next year I want to see playoffs. The cool thing is we have a very young roster, young guys are playing and contributing and we’re starting to see things we haven’t seen in a LONG time:
    1. A good OL with depth. Didn’t even miss a step yesterday with Jackson out
    2. Playmakers at RB and WR
    3. A good TE that most people had given up on
    4. FA actually earning their contracts
    5. Good drafts

A lot of you guys were ready to give up on Parker when all he needed was to get away from Gase. Be patient Grasshopper.
