He barely played. His drops were all easy catches. Most people agree his hands are incredibly suspect.
To me they made up that shin rule on the fly. if you get your toe inbounds but your heel lands out of bounds after you plant the foot, they always call that no catch. the same should apply to the shin and knee..
Well, that's about as complete of a first half as you can imagine. Rush, pass, special teams and defensive TD's. Like to see the offence get going now in the 2nd half, but they haven't really had an opportunity or needed it at this point. Just be nice to see Tua get into a bit of rhythm. So that means, avoiding Preston Williams.
I dont know if this means anything but so far we have the longest game this Sunday... all other games are near halfway through the 3rd quarter
Lots of clock stoppages I guess from the turnovers and incompletions. Usually when a team score sd 28 points they are eating up clock...we did it the weird way.
Random but I just read that punt return TD by grant is the first in the NFL this year, the latest in a year the first has been recorded since 1980.
I'll actually be disappointed for once if we return the kickoff for a TD. I'd like to see our offense at some point on a real drive.
With this positive first half let me ask this question if there was a pro bowl this season which Fins do you think would have a good chance of going?
While I’ve been curious to see how Tua plays, I really haven’t had a chance to see Tua play. This defense has been on FIRE!!!! This is actually VERY good for Tua in the second half. There’s no pressure on him to be the best all, do all, win all quarterback. Sure, you want him to be able to be all of that but a rookie making his debut against a team like the Rams? No, you don’t want that kind of pressure. He can now relax and play like we all know he can. Williams though had better stop dropping passes!! This TEAM has really rallied. I couldn’t be happier
I liked that play design on the pass to Gaskin. Not a fan of Gailey but once in a while he draws one up I love.
We need to run more of those HB screen with Gaskin. He is pretty good at getting an angle and almost always makes it a positive play.
The sort of situation we were hoping Howard would be good for. I wonder if they're looking for a replacement for him before the deadline?
As much as this game feels over, one score and it really isnt. Thankfully the defense looks pretty damn solid today, but if the offense cant eat any clock it gives the Rams a lot of chances to get back into it.
