Isiah Ford was traded to the Pats! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...isaiah-ford-in-deal-with-dolphins-per-report/
I liked Ford. Not as a main option but he was reliable when the ball came his way. I dont like late round picks, I'm on record as saying that. So I dont like this trade but honestly it's a blip on the radar.
I dont know why we made the trade, a guy that is familiar with our signals. Im not even sure if he isnt better than Williams.
I don't mind the trade so much as I loathe who we traded him to. The last time we did that didn't work out so well for the NFL, let alone the Phins. With that said, this makes me think that Callaway is ready to hit the field running soon.
Doing this for a 6th/7th rounder doesn't make sense unless the alternate was to just cut him and get nothing. Why would that be the case? Best guess is to make room for Callaway.
I agree on both points- we wouldn't trade him...to the Pats of all teams....unless we have someone else to take his place today.
Wish we didn't trade with the Patsies, especially prior to playing them both times. BB excels at using marginal players for information to put them over the edge. That said, looks like we wanted room for Calloway and expanded roles for Bowden and Perry which isn't a bad thing. Let's see what the kids have and see if we can't get more explosive. Ford was fairly reliable but not a big play guy.
Nah, I just don't like the thought of giving a division rival, let alone The Pats, any thing that may help them even remotely .
On the flip side of that, the Pats aren't beating us later in the season...with or without Ford. But if it somehow helps the Pats beat the Bills down the stretch, then it's one of the best roster moves we made all year.
From For The Win: Fitzpatrick’s now-former teammate Isaiah Ford was traded to the New England Patriots on Tuesday, and the receiver was known for wearing shorts that didn’t come down the leg too far. So the quarterback paid tribute. There are lots of photos coming out of Wednesday’s practice of the look, and it’s pretty amazing. It’s not the first time he’s wowed us with his sartorial choices.
