Colts beat Texans, so we get the draft position and not playoff help, but Miami can handle that themselves.
What a satisfying win!!! NE loses 8 games for the first time since Brady + Belichick era started (with Brady gone Belichick can't overcome), the Dolphins overcome a bunch of injuries to win, running game suddenly comes alive with 250 yards and 3 TD's, Tua plays well under adversity, defense not only plays well but doesn't collapse, and the team is still in playoff contention! Love it!!!
NE didnt even want to win. Realistically I'd have hurried my FG team out and tried to get it off before the two minute warning pops. Kick it deep out of the endzone and use the 2 minute warning and my two timeouts to try and get the ball back. Even if they didnt kick it then, why go for it on 4th? Take the points you need the inside kick either way.
Ahmed had a good game but Breida man, he is way more explosive and they both have pretty fresh legs. If Miami can hold that playoff spot and get healthy in the passing game, with that elite defense, I think they can scare a few teams.
I like our running game despite all the injuries and switching. It remains one of our main strengths. This wasn't the prettiest game, and frankly there haven't really been too many of them this year, but WE ARE getting it done. Our first of three is out of the way. We need to go and kick The Raiders *** now.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miami, after being arguably the worst NFL team to ever take the field at the beginning of 2019, to a winning record in 2020!! If Flo isn't odds-on favorite for COY, something's wrong. And in the clinching of the winning record, also clinched the Cheatriots first NON-winning season in forever...and they still have a chance at making it a losing season!!!! Just Fin Baby!
Last week, I took the dog out at half time and missed the Dolphins' TD early in the third quarter. Tonight, I took the dog out at half time and missed the Dolphins' TD early in the third quarter. I thought we played really well and the turnaround since the first week meeting with that lot shows the strides that this team has made over the course of the season. There were some outstanding performances from unheralded young players, including Salvon Ahmed, Matt Brieda, Lynn Bowden and that young OLine. With so many receivers out, the two RBs stood up to be counted and really showed that they might have a big future on this team. The running game really was a revelation compared to what we’ve seen from Miami since the start of the Flores era. I thought Jerome Baker was fantastic and Tua proved that he is improving with every outing. The defence once again showed what a great unit it is. For such a young group of players, they are a very exciting bunch and will only improve with experience and playing together. It's still not going to be easy to reach the playoffs, but with the momentum we have, it will be an interesting couple of weeks. Hopefully, now that the jills have secured the division, their intensity will diminish and make our task against them easier, but whatever happens in the next two fixtures, it has been a fantastic season, far beyond my expectations. I’m really looking forward to the next few years.
I’ve just seen that we gained 250 yards rushing. When was the last time a Miami team did that? Salvon Ahmed ran for 122 and Matt Breida for 86. Just fantastic from the two of them.
With a banged up offensive unit, starting second stringers under a rookie quarterback and to win against the Patriots? What a great day this was! Tagovailoa really stepped up his game today. Yes yes yes, he had that boneheaded interception but his game is really getting better each week. Defensively, again, what else can you say? I really would have liked to have seen the Texans pull out a win to give us a little breathing room going towards the playoffs but as was previously stated, I think we can handle ourselves. Not to mention the fact that on paper, we shouldn't even be in this position. Oh and on a side note, the Jets are actually winning...which I want!!! I certainly don't want Lawrence going to New York! I'd rather see him in Jacksonville...for my father's sake!
Jags now have the first pick due to strength of schedule! Oh man.. the Jets are SOOO bad they can't even suck enough lol http://www.tankathon.com/nfl
Whatever else happens, we have a winning record and we knocked the Pats out of the playoffs. Which in my book, is a good year, given how young our team is.
We got to continue establishing the run first.. we arent going to win any shootouts with a rookie quarterback and a depleted wr corps
I know this could be the start of something really special down in South Florida. All the years of being frustration, cursing out my tv, and feeling dejected from bad drafts, and crappy GM's in the past. Now let's go crush the Raiders, and then commit some cruelty against the Bills whom I hate with a passion.
