I don't expect people to be too rational at times likes this but talking about firing Flores is beyond embarrassing

So your conclusion after watching one of the youngest teams in the NFL with 60-70% new starters this year have a bad game is to fire everyone and start from scratch. Ok, go talk to someone else. There’s no point in engaging with any type of discussion with you.

Well I agree. I wish it was easy though to determine what it would have looked like with Herbert here and Tua there. I mean, they have a supporting cast for a QB. We obviously don't. So I don't know how easy it is to say that. When you watch them play though, yeah I do have Herbert with the edge based on what we've seen this season.

If they lose the game fine but they got embarrassed. Everyone should be concerned about a team who lost to backups in the second half! EVERYONE!! Flores is clearly not a competent coach if he can't win that.

What's all this talk about no longer being a fan or boycotting the team?? That better just be emotions of the moment. If not, then you're not really a Dolphins fan anyway. Best to know who those posters are for the future.

Anyway, despite the crapfest today (on both sides of the ball really.. the defense just gave up even after starting well!) I still think you have to see how Tua plays with WR's who can get better separation and catch the ball. If he can't do well with those, then yeah dump him. But after one year? No way. Can't expect solid play from rookies. 2nd year is another story.

Well that was ugly. I think losing Fitz really brought this team down. He was an emotional leader. Looked like the defense quit in the second half they were on the field way too much. I don't think the Jags have a shot at all against the Colts. Here comes the offseason.

Flores and Grier are not getting fired, nor should they be. An argument can certainly be made for parting ways from Gailey; I’m not sure why he was hired out of retirement in the first place.

I still hope the Jags pull one off. I'd love to see Tua one more time. One more chance to flash and not look like crap objectively in most games.

Good thing we don’t have to make that decision. He had one wow game, against Arizona, besides that he looked decent imo. Definitely have to rewatch the game today. I’m not really sold on him myself, but for me it‘s to early to really judge him. But if we need a QB then we‘ll draft one, I really think Flores knows what he‘s doing.

Don‘t know with the draft yet, but my receiver Nr. 1 would be Chase, the Alabama receivers are a little to fragile for my taste (Yatil Green).

Everyone should be pissed off. We haven't won a playoff game in 20 years. We always get embarrassed in playoff games and trying to mkae the playoffs. Enough is enough.

What a tough way to go out. Oh well, this team did more than overachieve this year. I'm glad we got a look at Tua now as opposed to later on. He's uh...really not all that impressive thus far. I have steadfastly backed him and was sold after the Cardinals game, but am starting to have some buyers remorse. I know in this game in particular I was screaming for him to throw the ball downfield and once he started doing that, the picks came regularly. One of them wasn't his fault, but other than that he was a train wreck today. There was no way we were going to skate by with conservative play calling and once that went by the wayside the ugliness showed it's real face. We were certainly lacking talent at the wideout position and have been for the majority of the season.
But I don't know about him even with talent at the position. I think he's accurate, I think he's professional, I think he's a willing learner with a great attitude. I think he's an extremely hard worker. Those are the positives with Tua. Maybe he can overcome all the other shortcomings with those, but I am not so sure. He clearly lacks the arm strength to get the ball downfield, he's slow when he has to take off and run, he's fragile physically, and combining a short height with a below average arm just spells game manager to me. I want this to be an overreaction on my part. Hopefully he comes back strong next year with the proper offseason and preseason to improve. He gets one more year to do his thing and if struggles like this continue on into next season, his departure may come even sooner. We can't afford to mess around with the quarterback position. If we're ever going to get where New England has gotten, where KC and Buffalo currently are...We're going to need a franchise quarterback to do it. I'm so down at this very moment, that it may not be a bad idea to just draft another quarterback with the Texans pick. I'm also extremely high on the idea of Kyle Trask with our other first round pick, but again...We're fresh off a humbling loss to the Bills and I need some time to think and chill.

Of course they quit. They know that there is no way Tua can lead that offense to any consistent points whatsoever.

Obviously. We've been mediocre for way too long. But it's hard to ignore the progression from last year to this year. I mean it's not like you or anyone else has a magic solution to this. I've been pissed off and down on this team for over a decade, but this year I feel better. We'll see next year whether it's a mirage or not.

Just picking yours to reply to...

Did it ever occur to you, or anyone else that Buffalo may just very well be THAT good?

Buffalos OFFENSE embarrassed our DEFENSE. Their offense didn’t embarrass our offense.

We’ve all known, ALL SEASON LONG that our offense was iffy at best and the backbone of our team was the defense.

No, our offense just embarrassed themselves all on their own. What a joke. I'm sick and tired of the Dolphins taking the safe picks at QB. Did it with Brees vs Culpepper, and it continues to this day with the Tua pick. Just absolutely disheartening.

Matt Barkley... repeat MATT Barkely embarrassed us in the second half passing the ball. First half okay but it should have never happened with competent coaching. We clearly do not have that. Sean Mcdermott is 7 and 1 against us. We will never win the division with the current staff. We have to find someone better than the coaches in our own division. We do not have that now.

It just sucks because we all of a sudden overachieved this year so everything began to feel magical. Like great! After that, we work our butts off, win a miracle game against the Raiders, the odds are in our favor for making the postseason at that point and we just flat out lay down in Buffalo today. I couldn't believe it! This ALL goes back to the Denver loss. That was the one game that we had to win that we let get away. It also shows just how absolutely tough this league can be to win in. I mean...10 wins and you are usually a lock for the dance. Not this year. Sucks....I hope all of us realize just how hard it actually is to win 10 games. We may not be able to do it next year. Especially if the quarterback situation goes unresolved.

The problem was, that after the first quarter, we were chasing the game, so had to take risks.

I know we didn’t play well, but the first quarter compounded the situation.

Ok, I have always respected you as a poster so I mean this with all due respect. Our offense gave the defense absolutely nothing today when the game was still obtainable. We had no sustainable drives, we were constantly in bad field position. I honestly feel like had the offense been able to keep drives going longer than the three and outs that they were producing, things would have been different. When the offense can't give the D time to rest and can't reward the D for stellar play, the momentum shifts and the game gets ugly as it did today. I steadfastly maintain that our defense ended up being awful simply because our offense was unable to give them anything to build off of.

Looking like our year is done, Colts up 10-0 which isnt insurmountable but:

    1) Its the Jags

    2) The Jags are getting manhandled and should be down 14-0 but got a holding call against Indy on a TD.

Tua threw some easily catchable passes that were dropped today.

I can think of two straightforward ones that Ford didn’t hold on to. There were plenty of others, but I can’t recall which receivers they were.

Today was bad all around and I’m unsure about him myself but I would give him another year and I guess Flores will too, unless today changed his mind. That’s why playoffs would be really good, just to see Tua one more game.

No point in getting another ticket to face the Bills again, unless you think Miami would be competitive a week from now? It's about the draft and looking at QB options in the draft now.
