Just saw that for the first time about a year or so ago. Scarring, to be sure. Of course, this is from the man who just watched a movie that culminated with a literal sex bomb.

I think that last movie I watched was Juno.
I thought it was like Napoleon Dynamite but funnier.

    I've seen a ton lately:

THE DEFILERS: 1962 exploitation movie about two guys who'll do anything for "Kicks, man! KICKS!" Kennedy-era nekkid boobies are the best. It was weird.

THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE: Also made in 1962, but a vastly different movie. About what happens when the U.S. and the Russians detonate test nukes simultaneously and unbeknownst to each other on opposite poles. The end of the world ensues.

What raises this above the level of other movies of its ilk is that (a) it's one of the first-ever true disaster movies; and (b) it handles all the proceedings from the perspective of a British newspaper office and is very authentic with the way the reporting of the escalating events is handled. Fascinating movie, and a must for all disaster movie or British movie junkies.

MUMMY 3: TOMB OF THE EMPEROR DUDE: Wow, this was cheezetastic. When the Yeti showed up and started making "It's good!" signals after literally kicking ***, I nearly left the theater. Then I settled down and was able to appreciate it for what it was. The action sequences were entertaining, but Rachel Weisz was sorely missed.

LEGEND (DIRECTOR'S CUT): Somehow, I had missed this 1986 Tom Cruise sword-and-sorcery flick. I should have loved it: Ridley Scott directed, Tim Curry was the baddie and I love the genre. But it was a bit of a snoozer, save for the chick from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"'s would-be corruption to the dark side, which ended up with her in a goth **** outfit. Yum.

Saw The Invasion with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig last night. I thought it was actually pretty good. I'd heard only really bad things about it so my expectations were pretty much nonexistent, which probably helped.

I saw that one as well the other night, forgot to mention it. I thought it was ok, but I hated how everything worked out so perfectly in the end as if nothing had ever happened.

Breach - Definitely my type of movie. Plenty going on to keep my attention, and stuff that made me think.

Stargate - Good fun. Some very cheesy SFx, but at the time I am sure it rocked.

Classic slasher flick with lots of horrible gore, cameos from Tony Todd and Robert Englund, the 'token black guy' from 'Not Another Teen Movie' and a real nasty looking antagonist. Plus lots of boobies in the beginning.

How to succeed in business without really trying - on Turner Movie Classics.

Funny as hell movie muscial from 1966. Spoofs the rise of a young man in the corporate world. He goes from window washer to Chairman of the Board in the matter of 4 days. Was a Tony award winning play from 1961.

I've heard mixed reviews on that one. Is it as boring as I've heard, or should I pop an Energy drink and slog through it?

Before. But After the Godfather and Star Wars Trilogies. Then be sure to watch the Back to The Future trilogy after that.

Definitely before, because after you watch the LOTR trilogy no other movie will ever compare in greatness.

and if anyone feels the need to argue with that statement DON'T, because I will ban you before you hit submit reply!

On vacation here in South Bend, Ind., where the Carmike Cinema has a policy of free admission for wheelchair users, so I've been busy.

"Tropic Thunder" -- ridiculously funny. Great stuff.

"Mirrors" -- Some cheap scares and a few legitimate ones. This flick was more silly than anything else, but there were quie a few choice moments of Kiefer Sutherland saying "DAMMIT!"

"Bangkok Dangerous" -- Pretty good, save for an unsatisfying ending.
