You remember Justin Zwick? IMO its this situation, Pryor will be Troy Smith and if Boeckman stuggles like he did Pryor to the rescue in the 3rd quarter.

BTW we still suck vs the spread so here is to hoping we play a Pro style offense in a BCS bowl!

 

Pryor is an incredible talent. I watched his high school highlights and him in the Army game I think it was. He's something special. OSU is lucky to have him. I like Boeckman as well. I think that they need to mix it up like they did today.

Of course I am just kidding Gish. I added 4 stars to make sure the thread stays where it belongs. I dont hardly ever give out 5 stars, dont give out 4 that often either.....

One thing I will say is I REALLY have a tough time seeing JimTressel interview...actually I hate seeing him on the sidelines.
Of course I have much respect for the man. One of the absolute top coaches in his ranks, but you see, he reminds me of this kid I grew up with. Obnoxious Alan. Same constant Smirk. Same Blase` expression all the time.


For the record, Alan wasn't a bad kid, and we were friends, just awkward as hell.

I haven't read through much of this thread, so my initial thoughts might have already been posted.
I'm not terribly down on OSU for the Ohio game. If Ohio had been a good team, then I would have seen that game as primed for an upset with USC looming.
I still think USC is a better team, but I'm not expecting a blow out. This game will surprise those judging OSU on this past week.

 

Met a USC fan last week with Enforcer and the guy was a complete butt hole!

I think the Ohio State Defense will keep it close. I expect a game like 23-17 for USC tho

 

Im not rooting for either just want to see a good game but i think SC blows tOSU out
35-17. But with all this hype i wouldnt be shocked if an upset does happen.

 

So hype is the difference IYO between OSU losing by 18 or winning??

Good win for you guys, but please don't get too happy. He is a true freshman and I can see him having major problems later in the season.

 

He looked poised against Troy, I know he will make mistakes but he plays better than Boeckman, if Boeckman played instead Ohio St would have lost.

 

Wow how everyone is off the boeckman bandwagon quick. Pryor will struggle when ppl take away the run and make him pass. However he will get better

 

Boeckman did great last year but once they played tougher teams and got pressure on him he faltered. He is good when Beanie is in the game but when Beanie isn't teams blitz more and go after him. At least with Pryor he can beat you with his legs.

 

Yay Beanie is back! If he is healthy the rest of the year we should have no trouble winning the Big Ten!

Nice to see your boy back, but it's unfortunate that he makes such a huge difference in your teams ability to play against high ranking teams. Good luck the rest of the season.

The national hatred for OSU is evident....and it is funny how Florida and USC suffered worse losses and not a whole lot is said.

2 programs lose to two unranked teams and barely a whisper...funny huh?

 

Thats because its easy to hate Ohio St, its hard to find a program that has been consistent in winning, they just fail to show up in the big games. I'm sure the hate would be worst if Ohio St won 1 of those National titles. its all good though until Ohio St proves it can run with other top programs not much can be said.
