I am at the point of take Sewell if no one offers the key to the city in a trade for #3. There are no other prospects like him at OT and if you trade back past #5, unlikely he is available. Whereas at #18, there will be lots of solid WR options to choose from and who knows, maybe Smith or Waddle fall due to size concerns.

Preach. If a proper trade doesn't come together, trust your scouting and draft BPA. I'd be happy with Sewell but professional evaluators may know/see differently from me. Personally, I think we have plenty of holes and it'd be hard to miss unless we make a ridiculous reach.

My gut tells me that there will be plenty of action for that third pick.

This will forever be known as the Trevor Lawrence draft, but let me tell you, I just got done watching the film on Zach Wilson, and he is one of the best QBs that I have graded in recent history. I think one way or another he goes #2.

I am with you that Dak stays in Dallas.

At this point it is evident that Carolina trying to upgrade from Bridgewater - so expect them in talks.

I guess I sorta disagree with you on Denver and Lock. I think that they will be actively involved in trying to upgrade. I do think that because Lock has shown flashes, it might prohibit the Broncos from selling the farm, but expect them to be active.

I really think that there is more going on beneath the scenes with Detroit. I think they got top dollar for Stafford because they took on Goff's contract. I do not think that necessarily means they believe in him. Expect them to look to move.

Atlanta knows that they need to move on from Matt Ryan sooner or later. Odds are, they will never be picking this high again. This could be a very, very easy deal to facilitate because we could assure Atlanta gets their guy, and we could still get our guy.

The Eagles are a bit of an enigma, but sorta like Atlanta, they probably will not be this high up in the draft again soon. Moving up from a pick like 6 or 8 may be painful, but it is stomachable. If you are picking at 15, it could be a mortgage the farm type deal I do think these teams should do it while the price is not too crazy.

Okay, I also get what you are saying going forward. So who is the guy? Fields or Lance? You know, I am not sure. Are those guys you surrender a ton of picks for? Again not sure.

But one thing that I am sure about is that as the draft gets closer, the value of QBs has ALWAYS gone up. Teams fall in love. They always do. There will be a GM who wants to get his guy.

I fully expect our phones to be ringing.

    All good tirty8

Another aspect to teams falling in love with a QB is that with no combine this year you have to wonder how much impact that might have on the process. Meaning, it seems like every year some players (with an emphasis on the QB position) kind of separate themselves from the pack. Without the combine, it's up to individual pro days for players to do that. I just wonder how much that might change the QB market in this year's draft.

Atlanta would be an odd situation. Say they want to move up for Wilson, but Miami would probably need to ignore some other deals that would get them a LOT more draft compensation than sliding down one spot. Atlanta will probably offer a third rounder, up to a second rounder to move up. Is that enough? OR would you take a second and 2022 first rounder from the Panthers instead?

Yeah, Sewell and a second rounder sounds pretty nice, but there will be a really good player at #8 too, and that extra first rounder next year. I'm not sure what I'd do. If there is ONLY one deal on the table, then it's an easy decision to move down. Well.... unless we are talking down to around #12 (Niners) where the very best players are probably gone. Then, I probably stay put.

The worst scenario would be to stay at #3 and take anyone outside of a QB, or stud OT/DE. I'd like to think Smith at WR could transform the Miami offense, but you just double him and take your chances elsewhere.

Only thing I would probably disagree with is your Eagles comment - I think that because they are going to have to strip a load of assets from the team due to their cap situation (and the team wasn't that good), it is very likely that they could be picking this high over the next 2 years unless Hurts is not what we thought & he balls out
