I'm going to have high hopes all offseason that the new OCs have a plan in place for him on offense. He's not as big or as good as Kyle Jusczzyk of the 49ers, but I think that he can do a lot of the same things and play a similar role if they let him. Block in space, as you said, but also catch two or three passes a game and convert on 3rd and short. Makes me wonder if Durham Smythe is in trouble. He's heading into the last year of his rookie deal, and they can save over 2 million in cap space with almost no dead money if they release him.
I think you've got to consider the special teams component pretty heavily factors into Carter, with KGH signing w/ Houston and Mack Hollins as a free agent.
