I am not sure how realistic these are but would be happy if turned out this way. I traded back with lions to 7 and picked Pitts and got a 2022 1st and 3rd. Etm and Harris went 16 and 17 so I took Rashod Bateman at 18. Traded from 36 to 42 with giants and took Creed Humprey.I got a 2022 2nd. At 50 I took Javonte Williams. Thoughts?
I’d be happy with that draft. Would prefer to get a pass rusher with one of our 2nd rounders but that’s a hell of a draft.
I think our D is good enough to get us to playoffs.Im all about improving the Offence this year and if that means using top 4 four picks so be it.
Our offense definitely needs to be better but we also lost to Buffalo by 30 in a game where playoffs were on the line. We aren’t far from having a championship caliber defense. We need to get a pass rusher and even a safety. I say build on your strength while bringing our offense along. If you throw Chase/Pitts/Smith with Fuller, Parker and Gesicki, I feel really good about our offense. OL should make strides with another year of experience and taking a C in the draft.
I think we need to draft offence because we need to see if we have a qb or not.If he is wrong guy then nothing else matters. Remember I didn't say championship defence I said good enough.
I think we're definitely trading back, and I hope we still retain a top ten pick. If so, the cool thing is that we're guaranteed our choice from a good crop of players. We could draft any of these in the top ten and I wouldn't be disappointed. A - QB - Trevor Lawrence B - QB - Zach Wilson A - LT - Penei Sewell B - WR - Devonta Smith C - WR Ja'Marr Chase D - TE - Kyle Pitts E - WR - Jalen Waddle Maybe these guys: F - ILB - Micah Parsons G - Edge - Gregory Rousseau It's a good position to be in.
Personally, I think Pitts is the 1st non quarterback off the board...it will be him or Sewell. So I don't see him going past pick #5. He's too special of a player.
Me too. I manage to trade from 3 back to 6 with Philly for a 3rd rounder this year and a 2023 1st rounder, and then at 6 take Sewell - although I had a choice of Kyle Pitts and a few other decent players. I went with Sewell because I think an OL player of his calibre doesn't just protect the QB but opens up the run and really makes a difference far beyond his own position.
Yeah, a stud OT adds value to EVERY play, be it run or pass. Only the QB has more influence on every play. Pitts would still be very tempting, but the best value is Sewell.
I've only been doing 3 rounders because I just don't know enough college players once I get past the first few rounds. I've done about 12-15 on this site so far, and a handful of mocks on other sites. Did this one a few minutes ago that I kinda like.
Only the second time I've managed to pull off a trade for #1 overall. Had to give up the farm to get it, but I ended up trading back three more times after that to recoup some of the lost draft capital. I'd be VERY happy to come out of the draft with Lawrence and Etienne. VERY. HAPPY.
Just ran one on PFN that would be a dream scenario but probably less than 1% chance to ever happen. Traded back to 9 and took Pitts. Normally I don't like moving up but Chase was still there at 14 so I swapped 1st rounders with the Vikings and gave our 3rd and 4th rounders. Took Zaven Collins at 36, Kadarius Toney at 40 and Creed Humphrey at 50.
Nflmockdraftdatabase they are stricter with trades Traded back with Eagles. 6. Chase. 18. Pitts I tried trading up he fell anyway. 36. Moehrig. 37. Ossai. 50. Jav Williams 81. Tylan Wallace
Been using the PFN draft sim, since PFF accepts crazy trades. Moved around a little and wound up with Ten's 2022 3rd round and the following picks: 6: K. Pitts TE 16: D. Smith WR 37: R. Grant S 55: J Williams RB 123: D Hayes Edge (ND) 128 T Hill OC (Georgia) 231 J Scott DT (Oregon)
These are fun to mess around with. I find the PFN ranking seem to make it easier to stack the Dolphins draft based on our needs. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft/ PFF one tougher, so probably more realistic. (I ignore all the trade stuff)
I get that. I just have more fun with trades, but PFF lets me do crazy things. PFN sure doesn't like Williams much. He is always there at around 50. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
I noticed you can always get Williams at 50 and Phillips at 36. Just did one and got Sewell, Waddle, Phillips and Williams.
That's the one issue I have with using a single sim - do it enough and it becomes easy to "predict" the range that a player will go and draft based on that knowledge. I still enjoy simming, and usually trend toward PFN more than the others, but sometimes Ill switch it around or even run 2-3 at the same time with different programs just to try and see the differences.
