Not until he gets an Unnecessary Roughness flag when he is carrying the football. THEN, he can remind us of Csonka!

He doesn't remind me at all of Csonka, maybe if he grew a moustache. But seriously folks, a pro bowl caliber RB and the threat of a running attack would keep the safeties honest and work wonders for Tua and this offense. The last two times we made the play-offs, 2016 we had Ajayi and his multiple 200 yard games and, 2008 when we had Ricky Williams and Ronny Brown. Don't let this one get away.
    .
Dolphins' offensive line coach Monte Clark was asked about Csonka's bruising running style, and he responded, "When Csonka goes on safari, the lions roll up their windows."

I completely agree. A lot of folks are talking about trading up for Waddle/Smith with that #18 pick, but I think it makes a lot more sense overall to draft Pitts/Chase at #6 and then take Harris at #18. An all-pro WR/RB combo will have a more lasting effect than WR/WR because it completely changes coverages.

To be clear, none of those combos for the guys we're looking at would be a bad move and I'd be thrilled regardless. But I really want Najee in Miami!!!

Really hope we draft a RB this year. There are 3 RB‘s this year please get one of them. 1.Williams, 2. Harris, 3. Etienne

Yea, I would love to get a runningback that plays for the team at least 8 years and it is productive. I know 8 is a lot, but I never experienced that as a fan. A long time runningback who is good on the team. Most of the good ones are good-but.

Williams - Good but quit on the team and then was smaller when he came back
Brown - Good but never really was the bellcow and if I remember correctly had a little too many injuries
Miller - Good but not used right, I think. I trying to remember why he didn't succeed. Can't, don't feel like looking it up. Only 1 1,000 yard season

    You get the idea.

Ricky didn‘t quit Wannstache ran him to the ground, back then I felt like he quit but now I can understand him and he is one of my alltime great Dolphins. That‘s why I like J. Williams, he reminds me a little of Ricky when it comes to running style.

We can get into semantics, but Wanstache running him into the ground was a reason he quit but not the only reason. Ricky had huge anxiety issues, which as someone with anxiety issues can relate too.

Same here. Surprising I know. I take meds for it. I can understand Ricky a little more than most I think as well. I also happen to be very 420 friendly. But, as a pro football player and a grown man, even with anxiety you are responsible. I was not happy with Ricky getting busted for pot. Even though I smoke. He has an 8 month offseason to blaze lbs. That was totally irresponsible and anxiety is no excuse.

That said, outside of the pot bans, I was never really 'mad' at Ricky Williams. And I still regard him as a great Dolphin.

Btw On Topic: I think Najee Harris would be a great addition to our offense so I don't need much convincing other than that there's a fair chance he falls to our first 2nd round pick.

My only concern about Harris is that we may get too 'cute' with the "When do we think someone else will draft him?" game. If the team really wants him, don't phiddlephart around with waiting long enough that someone else grabs him. I am getting old enough now that I have seen far too many times that The Phins have played it cute and lost on both sides of the equation. If a player is there when the turn comes up, and it would benefit the team in a very positive way to have him, and every sports prognosticator in the Western Hemisphere has been putting that player in our draft sack - Don't get cute and blow it!

I feel like we tried to do that last year and it bit us in the butt, having someone like Dobbins snatched right from in front of us.

Harris just makes a lot of sense. Williams is a bit more of a bruiser, and Etienne is an elite pass catcher, but Harris is just an excellent all around back. Dynamic player, some shiftiness but can lower the shoulder. Can catch well, an excellent red zone threat. A very good pass blocker/QB protector. I have 0 qualms about taking him at 18, regardless of whom we take at 6.

Good watch. Tua helped to influence Harris to go to Alabama over Michigan.
