It’s close but ultimately Devonte’s hi level skill as a receiver plus the intangibles push him to the top.

I know he’s gonna work hard, I knows he’s a highly skilled position specific athlete, I knows he’s humble, I know he has hi level competitive drive, I know there are no injury concerns.

I saw this play tonite that blew me away..it was so hard to see but I rewinded it several times because I thought I saw him do it but needed to see it again to confirm.

He left his feet for a pass, pass was behind and high, so he contorted his body and made the catch..

Good play right? Well, he did that while looking away at a defender who was coming from behind, and calculated where he was going to plant and turn upfield, before his feet hit the ground.without watching the ball.

It was the unbelievable consistency of this dude, the perfect hands of a receiver, The intellect to master his craft, and that bursts of speed I saw at the pro day on certain reps..

Him and Tua came in together..Him and Tua won a national championship together, let’s reunite someone who gets off the line and separates better than anyone in the draft.

And btw, I could show countless examples of this dude getting hit so hard you would feel it, but the man keeps coming..

You have a very unique physique in this case, lean but strong, joints and tendons superior..broad shoulders, long arms, big hands..

I recommend everyone who questions his body to go and watch tape of him play ing high school basketball and how he could of went to duke, North Carolina , Kentucky.

I picked Justin Herbert. The Dolphins didn't. Now I pick DeVonta Smith (If Pitts is off the board) and the Dolphins probably won't. That tends to be the way it goes for me every draft sorry.

Btw, it's nice to see a few more Fins fans getting on board the Smith over Chase wagon, even if it isn't the majority. If it isn't I stand with the minority. The Heisman trophy winner is the best WR in this draft.

The biggest argument against this? His weight? Give me a break! He's 6'0. Chase is 6'0. Smith can put on healthy, lean weight. And despite his weight in college he never really showed a lack of durability that I can remember??? So if we exclude this 'non-factor' explain how Chase is a better WR?
