These guys could care less about the Dolphins and are just throwing out random takes. Couple talking heads put out to kill air time. Zero credibility. Neither one of them even know the Dolphins don’t own their own 1st pick ‘22.
In fairness it's Florio trying to defend the take (whether he believes it or not - it might just have been handed to him). The other guy refuses to accept the Dolphins traded out of 3 while also loving a QB and thinking of taking one.
Stupid guessing. I’m with King...if the Dolphins were planning on taking an quarterback, they would never have traded out of the 3rd spot
Almost as dumb as the idea ESPN threw out that the Fins would trade down from 3 to 12 then back to 6, and then trade away more than they got for doing all of that to move back up to 4.
I like the move so far. Don't think we’re trading up. I think he’s playing a great gambit. He’s betting either 1 of the 2 all pro playmakers will be there or a QB falls. He can then pick up an extra star in the 2nd round and still get Smith/Waddle.
I really do like Florio, but he does this from time to time, and I think you just gotta ignore it. He throws out ideas that some of these guys do these Art of War/chess master type things. I'm positive that the guys at the top realize that there are too many variables involved, and nobody is that smart. We had the three pick. If we really wanted to move away from Tua, that would have been the place to do it. Essentially, we coulda had our choice between three QBs. How could his answer to fixing the position that has been a mess for decades have honestly been, "We'll take whoever is left?"
A lot of prognosticators and writers are doing that at this point before the draft. They'll throw a bunch of scattershot "what-ifs" that will get lost in the abundance of information and after the draft, some of them will actually have played out. They can actually play both sides of the coin by authoring one thing today and the opposite tomorrow. They can then lay claim by reminding us how they "predicted" it might happen before the draft.
There was a take out there among Chiefs fans, I think, saying they should trade a 5th pick to us in exchange for Gesicki... I know that the Dolphins have been invisible in the land of mediocrity for decades now but it still surprises me just how little respect we get. It's earned, of course, so here's to the Dolphins winning, becoming regular divisional champs, playoff contenders, and having that respect once again.
OMG no Cooper! He looks like he has zero enthusiasm and is non existent against good corners. I bet the Cowgirls would love to dump that contract they're so dumb.
This is another one of those laughably bad contracts. First of all, I would much rather have Pitts over Cooper. Second of all, that contract! Yikes! I don't mind paying up for a WR, but this isn't Mike Evans or Allen Robinson. Third of all, Cooper is great.... For some games. Then there are games he just vanishes. He reminds me of a better version of Devante Parker.
Regardless of how good you might or might not think Cooper is, we simply cannot take on that contract, so the idea is dead in the water before its begun.
