https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...rusher-shaq-lawson-houston-texans-source-says Former Phin Shaq Lawson has been traded from the Houston Texans to the NY Jests. Jests give up a 6th round pick and pay minimal salary. With their loss of Carl Lawson and a thin free agent market, it's a low cost deal that makes a lot of sense. Hopefully we know a few things we can exploit.
We don't play the Jets until the week before Thanksgiving, so there's a lot of football between now and then. I expect them to be in pretty rough shape by that point. Probably something like 2-8. I doubt he'll be a vital part of their team.
There's an endless cycle of all four AFC East teams going through the other three's leftovers. It's like none of them can look outside of their own neighborhood for ideas.
Jordan had three sacks, one forced fumble (that he recovered) and one pass defended last year, plus 11 solo tackles (17 overall). That should be enough to earn a try-out with his size/athleticism. Here's the stat that shocked me- he'll be 32 next March! Can't believe it's been that long since we signed him.
