Waddle will be the opening day starter and it'll stay that way the whole season. THAT...Is my bold prediction for the year.
That's not bold at all- he's one of the few healthy WR's on the roster. I'm personally expecting Hollins to start the entire year as well.
I'm expecting him to be the slot guy/#3 receiver, and probably be the #4 or #5 target most of the year, depending on how often they throw to Gaskin.
Per Barry Jackson: "9:25 a.m.: Rookie offensive tackle Larnel Coleman is undergoing knee surgery - a procedure that will requires a couple of months of recovery time, according to a team source. The team is expected to place him on injured reserve. It’s more likely that Coleman will be put on IR before the 53-man roster is set, which would end his season. If he’s on the initial 53 at 4 p.m. today and then moved to IR, he could return in as few as three weeks, per NFL rules. But this surgery will sideline him much longer than that."
Just as well. Hopefully he's healthy, but I doubt that he was making the 53, so this is a way to stash him for the year and try again in 2022.
But we really needed him in that 4th TE spot. I get that we probably would have taken Myarick instead of him, but if Perry does anything at all in New England, keeping Shaheen over him will be a major blunder. As for Jackson, may be a blessing in disguise. Very disappointing that he has not stepped up his game. Grier better hope Tua pans out as a star/elite QB and Waddle as an elite playmaker because he looks to be wasting more than his share of first round picks on "meh" talent/outright busts.
When I had COVID last March, I had no symptoms but was exhausted for like 3 months. I'm wondering if that's what happened to Jackson last Sunday?
Well, he's on the COVID list now and he's tested weekly, so it's possible that he was just weak/sick without even realizing it last Sunday. That would be a best-case scenario for me since it's not a long-term regression...just a bump in the road. The other side of that, of course, is if other linemen end up testing positive. That scares the heck out of me.
I'm not sure- I didn't think they hold you out if you're vaccinated though. I'm assuming it means he had a positive test but I really have no idea.
The team hasn't said, and they generally don't leak. But if he doesn't practice this week, I think that we have our answer.
Oh man, I really liked him- hopefully he returns to the Dolphins once he's ready. Biegel was the trailer guy, wasn't he?
Its very unlikely that he starts tomorrow. He shouldn't. given that he hasn't practiced all week. But this is great news for Week 2 onward.
