Assuming that the scheduling system doesn't change to dramatically, we'll have to try and get a group together the next time the Fins play in Charlotte in 2025. I was there in 2009 and had a good time.

I've been to two or three Car/Mia games there over the years and it shocked me every time- it felt like a good 30-40% of the stadium was wearing Miami gear. It is a fun place to catch Fins games since it almost feels like a home game on one side of the stadium.

The night I was there (the first NFL Network Thursday night game), it was absolutely that way. The place was LOUD with Dolphins fans. I remember walking out surrounded by people in aqua, and the energy was like it was a home victory. The Carolina fans were all very welcoming and cool as well. Zero hostility.

The hostility is what keeps me away from my two closest cities, Baltimore and Washington, both of which have a strong reputation for being terrible for visiting fans. Philly is the same.

I do my best to catch Miami when they’re in KC, Chi or Min. Assuming it’s not freezing out

I've seen the Fins play in Miami once, for my 30th birthday trip. Sadly that was part of the 2007 season. And then along with Carolina, I saw them play in Cincinnati as well. With my kids getting bigger, I'm probably going to try and see them again once the Pandemic is finally under control in future years.

Since I brought it up earlier, I thought I'd throw out that next season, the Fins should play at the following places outside of the division, if anyone is looking to make future plans:

    Baltimore
    Cincinnati
    Chicago
    Detroit
AFC West team that finishes in the same slot
NFC West team that finishes in the same slot

To this point, the NFL has not extended the scheduling format beyond 2022. This is very unusual this late into the process, and my guess is that it has something to do with the uncertainty regarding the Bills location, as they could move after that season. If the Bills don't move and cause the league to undergo some level of realignment, then in 2023, our away opponents should be:

    Kansas City
    LA Chargers
    Washington
    Philadelphia
AFC North or South (unknown) that finishes in the same slot

Any of this could of course be changed with the team being sent to play internationally.

Wow. I remember a lot of motels with a lot of space between them.

One morning I asked the receptionist if there was a delicatessen nearby where I could get some bagels. They had not been readily available in boot camp or camp Pendleton. She wasn't sure but pointed out they had an Israeli National at the motel and he might know, so she called him and he came to the reservation desk and spoke with me. He didn't know of any delicatessens in the area but we talked and he was delighted to find out I was a Jewish Marine finishing basic and infantry training. He talked to me about Israel and when I finished my military obligation how I should come to Israel and join their IDF. Yes, that's right, he was recruiting me for the IDF.

He told me he was a businessman and told me a little of his background, a British commando and a member of the British Palestinian Brigade during WW II and that he occasionally worked with the Mossad as an agent. His name was Yossi Harel and at the end of WW II he commanded a couple of boats with refugees trying to sneak into Palestine. That was the "Exodus". He was very proud of that assignment.

A few years later I looked him up in the Britannica and found out it was all true. Well, that's the kind of thing that happens at a place called the Rip Van Wrinkle Motel. That has to be the best name any motel ever had, certainly better than Howard Johnson - LOL

Well, not many votes of course. Small sample size and all. But we've long seen evidence that while the Dolphins aren't the main fan group in any area outside of South Florida, there are Dolphins fans just about everywhere. Some fan bases hardly have anyone outside of their own market, even very successful ones.
