Does anyone else find newspaper articles painfully difficult to read these days? They pack so much spam into them that the journalism is almost secondary. Even with my ad-blockers, the page is a jumbled mess of influences. For instance, do they really think it's okay to have a sportsbook ad in the header? That just doesn't say journalism to me- ten years ago we would have called that a spam site. Now with the subscription paywalls and pages blocking content because of ad-blockers, I rarely find myself reading at those sites anymore. They just don't have business models for success since they're still selling ads the 1980's way.
