Something serious must be going on with Will Fuller:

Hopefully whatever's going on doesn't drive him back towards drugs- I feel pretty confident that he'll be "random tested" once he's back. I wish him luck in dealing with whatever's going on.

With that said, this entire thing angers me with Fuller. Emergencies can't be helped, but now we're not going to see our new receiver until at least week 3....and we signed him 6+ months ago. Something about that just doesn't sit right with me; we haven't even seen him run a route in practice yet. Who knows if he is even in shape or knows the playbook.

I would imagine the coaching staff knows. And, this is going to effect the money he makes on his next contract. He has everything to play for this year.

We have the depth to go on without Fuller, though it gets thin if Parker gets hurt again. I hope Fuller makes it back soon, for the sake of both Miami and himself. He is on a one year deal, so he needs a good year to get paid in 2022 and beyond.

Flores saying, 'Not sure if or when he'll be back' is a big red flag though.

Angry with the situation sure but I can't be angry with Fuller until we know what is going on.

Oh yeah, definitely- you can't fault the guy for what's happening now. But it definitely makes all the other stuff hard to swallow.

Looks like his mother has passed away and it’s hit him very hard. Rumor is he may not return for the entire season.

I'm not calling it a "huge blow" just yet, but I really wanted to see him on the field Sunday. Let's hope that the maturation of the OL and Albert Wilson's strong camp translates into him being a vertical threat soon.

Miami still has plenty of passing weapons. My mom passed last year and it really leaves a void in your life. It's not like Fuller can't retire right now and live comfortably the rest of his life, but once he has time to process he may want to play again.

I completely agree. Lost both my parents over the past few years in very different circumstances, and each of them hit you differently due to the situation, etc. I'm trying not to be down on Fuller about this because I completely understand what he must be going through- family is sacred and it always trumps work.

We don't know the details but yeah, maybe he retires. Maybe he's back next week. There's no way to know.
